  1. Ruby has the 16520 case... and it will probably cost half of what a Phong case costs.... but as I understand it the case comes with incorrect pushers (from 4-digit Daytonas)... and the case won't accept the correct P402 pushers. There's a bunch more on RWI about this... There is also Kuared, a viet seller... he has 16520 cases... I believe you'll face the same pusher issues with his cases as well... but I'm not 100% sure
  2. In my search for a gen or gen-spec 16520 dial I came across a couple of non-TDs (or at least dealers that I'm not familiar with) that are selling 16520 (and 16523/8 and 16518) reps . I did not think anyone made a 16520 replica, only 116520s. http://www.replicamagic.me/produit/rolex/automatic-rolex-daytona-16520-white-dial/ https://perfectwatches.io/product/rolex-daytona-16520-40-mm/ I think these dealers are using pictures of a genuine 16520 (with an inverted 6 no less!!). Does anyone know the story on these 16520 replicas? If they are this nice, and have good dial like this with the right spacing for the subdials I would like to buy Thanks!!!
  3. Yup. The insert, or at least the pearl, are on the list of things to sort out
  4. Hologramet, Thank you for the input. Forgive me but what do you mean by "Shock absorbers are KIF"? Also, any thoughts on the date disc? Every other one I have seen is white, not champagne / gold... Finally, any suggestions on what do do for a bracelet? price of a gen 9315 is almost as much as I'm paying for the watch!! Thanks again!!
  5. Thanks. Any other thoughts on this one? I’m inclined to try and make a deal on it.
  6. I've found one that is reasonably priced, but I'm not sure if it's gen . The seller claims it is. The things that seem wrong to me are -- *The quality of the dial is poor. I'm not sure if it's a gen that's been re-lumed or it's a rep... *The bezel insert is a replacement and looks cheap *I've yet to see any Tudor sub with a gold datewheel *The case looks like it's been polished Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance for any help!!
  7. +1 ^^^^^^^^^^^ Beautiful looking pieces but as I said in #10 above, no way on god's green earth that was or is a genuine BLACK 6263 PN dial. IIRC, the last Gen Black PN 6263 that sold at auction fetched over $1M. Makes no sense that someone in this day and age refinishes a gen black PN dial (without gobs of documentation) and then puts it on a franken / rep (albeit a nice one). But again, nice pieces and good score.
  8. Sorry but there is no way on God's green earth that you have a "Black Gen Tiffany Paul Newman Dial"
  9. Thanks. I think I'll gamble. I assumed I'd need to replace the crown and pushers. l also have a Phong case so I will compare
  10. I'm wondering if anyone has bought one of these v72 6263 6265 Cases on eBay? I can spot plenty wrong with the bezel / crown / pushers but I'm not well-schooled enough to know about the case itself Seller also has 7750 cases available. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DIY-Watch-Case-Kit-for-Valjoux-72-Movement-Daytona-6263-6265-Lug-19mm-/282031227701?hash=item41aa5f0335:g:trAAAOSwintXRmh3
