  1. I decided to use the JF case to put it together. Here is the outcome: JF 114060 case and bracelet. Noob V7 clasp. Gen Dial Spongebob Insert JF Hands It’s a beautiful outcome, although I need to progress my franken 16610 and may end up selling this to fund.
  2. Hey guys, I have a franken project for a Noob 114060, installed gen dial, spongebob insert and a JF SH3130 movement. The Noob 114060 originally came with a 2824, I’m now having a small problem securing the SH3130 into the case, the movement tabs required are an awkward size. Does anyone know of a movement retaining ring that would serve the purpose to secure the movement in place? All other ideas welcome! Cheers, PB Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I find it strange the SH3135 doesn’t take a gen seconds hand. Did you get it from JF? I have replaced the fourth wheel (seconds) on a SH3135, the part number is 3135-360. For the quickset date function, it didn’t work for me at first, but you can try applying a tiny rub of gasket grease on the underside of the date wheel and even remove the jewel sat at the top, the jewel has not great purpose. My quickset date function works fine now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. It’s 10 times better than the stock JF but it missing some pronounced serifs like the gen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yes JF 16610 LV v2 with WSO date wheel and gen LN insert [emoji108] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. It is an excellent option, the 3 improvements IMO are date wheel, sel fitting not recessed enough, clasp is a little temperamental. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. The sel on this new 904L V8 is pretty bad, the gaps on the underside are awful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. What movement is in it? SA3135? Insert numerals look a better colour than the V7. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. There’s no movement ring in the JF’s with 3135. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. No the watch is losing seconds just like the timegrapher states. About 60 secs per day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks@mymanmatt and@tickleshoes . I’ll post some photos when I’m working on it [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks guys, I doubt it’s magnetised as it was serviced a few months back, but I will check on this as a last resort. I will check on the advice of@mymanmatt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Hey guys, I’m having continued issues with my Explorer 1 (bought m2m) on SH3132 even after I had this serviced. I’ve got a tiny experience in tear downs, still working and learning, and will open up the Explorer 1 to see what’s up, but thought I’d post some Timegrapher stats to see if some learned smiths can offer some suggestions... 15. Just read through this, great thread and useful insight. I accidentally snapped the post of the fourth (seconds) wheel on my JF SH3135 and have replaced this with a cousins part 3135-360 part without problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. Both engraved and non engraved rehaut are period correct depending on which year the watch would have been manufactured. It all comes down to personal taste. I actually prefer the rehaut engraved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Ado is UK based and can service it for you. If you just want a date wheel replacement, feel free to PM me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Ok, there have been a number of examples from some modders, misiekped included, where the quickset date function did not work with the gen or aftermarket wheel. I am in the process of fixing mine, due to this issue. I believe the adjustment is very fine. So it’s unsurprising there may be examples where the gen date wheel goes straight in and works. 20. It’s WSO : https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F311905852225 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I don’t think you need to spend $150 on a gen date wheel, you can get an awesome aftermarket one on eBay... but bear in mind, the gen or aftermarket datewheel will need a very fine sanding to match the JF datewheel size, else the quickset date function won’t work. 22. But this wouldn’t be correct on the 5 digit model right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Just stumbled across this thread, have to say some of the information offered by the likes of Bart, hologramet, joey etc is unbelievable, true dedication to the craft. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Guys, thank you for the great input to my thread! I’m going to get some 2000 sand paper and trying filling down the date wheel a touch, hugop’s idea on the jewel is also something I might try. I’m waiting on some deliveries to help with the project, once it arrives I’ll post the outcome [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Thanks for the information@misiekped , much appreciated, I’ll take another look and post back with results when I’ve fixed the issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
