  1. Just quoting my original post; It's a totally different dial, including the Swiss made text less 25 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I've started this post to help our esteemed colleague@Sogeha , the hypothesis is whether the JF 16610LV can be used as a base for a 16800 franken. On to the comparative photos... This 16800 is very aged, the bezel notches are smoother than the 16610 due to wear over time: The rehaut is the same depth, making a sanded and polished 16610 rehaut a legit option. The 16800 bracelet is slightly more polished due to wear over time. The SELs are different with the 16800 having the wings on the underside: The 16800 has drilled lug holes on the outside. Obviously the dial and hands are different and would need to be swapped: The crown on the 16800 is a 702 (smaller) crown versus the 16610 703 trip lock crown which is larger With the legit 3135 movement in the JF 16610, it's seems that with a few parts and a bit of work, the JF could be modded into a 16800. @Sogeha keep us posted on your progress if you decide to go ahead [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Standby for photos, I'll start a new thread and tag you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I can check the difference today (if my buddy is wearing it) and let you know if he rehaut is deeper. The crowns are different though, the 16610 has a 703 crown and I think the 16800 has a 702 crown, with the 703 being thicker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. When I wrote that the JF against the 16800 was remarkably good, I was referring to the JF as a base for a franken. The dial and hands would need to be completely changed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I actually had lunch with a guy today who has a gen 16800 and we compared the JF. It's remarkably good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I thought I was going to sand off rehaut, there's a guy on RWI called botsyboy who sanded it off and it looks good. However when I got the JF, I really liked the rehaut and decided to keep it. I need to recess the SELs a touch and realign the bezel insert, but apart from that this watch is good to go. More pics Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. You can get it from any good TD, got this from Intime. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. IMO the JF 16610LV is the best sub rep you can buy at the moment, we've just had a very very long thread discussing whether the JF is better than the TC V7x, the JF has a better movement and better bracelet, the other details have been subject to debate, but there is no doubting the JF is an incredible watch for $400 out of the box. By the way the TC V7x cannot be bought right now, as TC is on hiatus. The JF.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Sorry I don't have this, I changed my order from the 116610LN to the new JF16610LV [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. It's a bit stiff/firm straight out of the packaging, however I'm wearing it in now. I'm sure it will soften up nicely [emoji108] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. Hey guys, I'm looking to franken a 116610 Noob V7. Ideally I'd Iike to buy gen, or highly accurate rep, hands, crown, ceramic bezel, crystal and dial. Can anyone recommend some good sources for parts? Any good dealers on fleabay? Cheers [emoji481] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Hey@watcher, that's a beauty. I'd love to see a new comparison between the gen and the Noob V7 116610. I presume the Noob V7 is the latest and greatest, apart from the gen obvs [emoji5] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Having experience with both of the above mentioned TD's, I'd recommend Joshua at perfect clones. Lucy is thorough and provides a more personalised service, however the turnaround time can be long. PT seem to be too busy to provide a close customer service IMHO. After ordering with Josh you usually get what you want within 7-10 days delivered. Go to the TD's section of the forum and read some reviews [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. That's the sound of the jaw hitting the floor. I've seen this one a few times from@paristoto , but I never get tired of seeing it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Gents, I did a quick scout online to find the gen 6263 case dimensions; my results turned up: Case diameter: 37mm Case thickness: 13.4mm Can anyone validate these dimensions? Additionally, does the 37mm diameter include the crown and/or pushers. It'd be good to know the case diameter without crown and pushers, since most builds start with a case shell that may need refinishing to size. Input appreciated from those with the knowledge [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Hey guys, such an enjoyable thread to read. I've been drooling all the way through! I love this dial version: Also, I'd be really keen to hear if these 'shortcut' versions of the PN Daytona are a worthwhile base model from which to make mods to... http://www.pf-818.com/watches/rolex/daytona/vintages.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Hey guys, the story goes; I got woke up in the middle of the night by a bond girl...... .....and then I couldn't get back to sleep, so I started reading about the A7750 movement and came across this fantastic webpage.
