Well thanks for the enlightenment. I ended up taking a chance and traded an authentic 1984 Rolex Datejust in excellent condition. I paid $1500 for it and had an offer for $1900. I ran into this yesterday and wanted everyone’s thoughts. The case is supposed to be a 1960’s, as well as the Angelos Dial. The case is supposed to be made by Rolex and stamped on the inner caseback. The crown has a Rolex crown and says Brovet on it. The face is deteriorating and looks amazing. It has deep Gold stamped lettering. The movement is aftermarket for sure, but wonder about the rest. The watch detailing is amazing including the carbon dial. The movement gives me pause, however the serial number on the caseback and movement match, just have not seen this movement in a Breitling before. Markings looks real good, stamping and details.
