  1. I built this movement from parts some new some used, runs like a charm. But it's boring so I changed it slightly Also making a dial to go with it. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk

  4. The problem with franken is, they are not recognised by rolex even though every part on it came from them at some point. So there is no real value in the whole watch. Its only worth anything in parts. Or to someone that wants it bad enough. But that's life. So the greater value it to its creator me . That said it may as well be a rep. 5. It has taken a bit of time sourcing parts.. All the parts to build the dream. But I got there and I done it for a lot of 1000's less than buying one. Its all genuine but it never left the factory with any of the parts it took to build. These are still £6k upwards. I cut the price in half. By building it from scratch. It was an ARF but not a single part of that is left. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk

  7. Waiting for the gold hands now and it's complete Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  8. It might have been cheaper to buy a complete movement, but the way I done it ensured it's all right and not something I may have to spend a [censored] load more money on. A new sealed unit upto and beyond £2.5k, I am £1,465 in the movement, gen wg lume hands £52. And buying a concentric dial for £402 Inc shipping on Friday. Plus another set of hands to match yg lume gen. Somewhere I have a gen 18k yg bezel and crown... Somewhere lol. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk

  10. I have a supplier in the UK. He supplied most movement parts, and just fitted gen white gold tritium hands he supplied. Damn they are heavy for the size. Also ordered my holy grail dial. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  11. Got it running at its correct beat. To +/- .07 s ph Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  12. My super rep ARF with gen movement Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  13. It isn't that is the only part but. If you go to the expense of a gen complete automatic winding device with rotor. Gen mainplate, gen train wheel bridge, minute pinion Bridge, you have to go gen balance, and bridge. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  14. As I posted a few weeks ago, I have been changing parts in the sh 3135, now I am left with two bridges and a nice new set of hands to change, my ARF has a almost whole new beating heart. A genuine 3135 and what a difference it is. Setting time, date is tight but crisp, the slap play in the hands has gone. It just feels so much better. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  15. Got balance and bridge today, all gen bits but running very slow Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  16. I need one of those minute bridges, that's part of the 3 still to get. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  17. Hi guys, my ARF 3135 movement committed suicide, the reverse wheels exploded, and bit got into the rest of the movement. So I have been buying genuine parts bit by bit, The list is as follows.... Gen:- Barrel harbour complete. Ratchet wheel Great wheel Driving wheel Third wheel (centre seconds) Minute pinion and cannon pinion. Minute wheel Escape wheel Pallet fork Pallet bridge Train wheel bridge Automatic winding device complete with rotor, Mainplate I have learned every tiny detail of the China version compared to the genuine. Almost every part is interchangeable except balance. So now I have 3 more bridges to buy, a balance wheel and bridge, balance guard, adjuster nuts. Date carrier plate and full set of gen blue carrier screws. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  18. Personally I prefer the eta it's cheap and easy to repair and service, and when setup they can be extremely accurate. Where as most rolex parts can now only be bought via a registered dealer at a premium. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  19. In that case it's a family heirloom just enjoy it. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  20. Case looks plated I could be wrong, bracelet looks solid. What's the weight? As for the stones, they could be paste or genuine. Because it's rolex style doesn't mean it has to be rolex. Also it might be a one off gold watch for services rendered over a certain number of years. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  21. It's pretty straightforward, you pick a watch select payment and postage options, but first speak to them ask about the best shipping, DHL are pretty quick. They collect and send qc pics and await your approval. Then its shipped. Mine took just over a week from qc. To arrive. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  22. Hairspring might be stuck, give it a sharp bang into the palm of the hand. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  23. Yes the smaller lever, it's possibly a Chinese clone, how fast is it running? Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  24. There is an app available. Clock timer it's not bad and will give you a rough guide. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
  25. The plating is pretty robust. It's all down to how much wear it will get. I have a tt djinn that I wore consistently for 3 years and I mean it never once left my wrist. The gold is still pretty good but the steel is now visible on the edges. It will never look as deep as solid gold so it's all down to the buyer Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
