  1. An ETA SuperOcean would be a fantastic 1st rep IMO. Just need to pick a dial colour, plus there are many strap options with this watch that give a wide variety and choice, and will keep you interested in the piece more. GL with what you decide.
  2. Thank you for the reply The Zigmeister, i will carry out your recommendations as it is spoiling a great watch, and bugging the hell out of me!
  3. Can only agree with the last post, i have received my last 6 watches direct from China with no Customs problems. Most of the trusted collectors on here would cover you "if" a watch was siezed anyway. The main thing is the value declared by the seller as not to incurr import duties, but the guys in China realise this and only declare a low value. Saying that i have dealed with Reg (Narikka) and his service was spot on if he stocks what you are looking for? Good Luck with your purchase.
  4. I have a yellow Breitling Seawolf Avenger with a small problem. It seems that the inner rehault bezel under crystal (sorry dont know the correct term for it) has a small gap between itself and where it meets the dial. No photos i'm affraid, as the macro on my camera wont pick it up, but you can clearly see a small gap between the 12 and 4 markers, where it looks slightly detached? If it was a dark dial, to be honest you probably wouldn't notice but the yellow shows all defects. Does anyone know a fix for this problem, how does the inner rehault bezel attach to the dial? I am capable of removing the movement etc but will not attempt a stripdown or removal of hands. I am guessing once the movement is out i will have access to the bezel fitment? Before i undertake such a job, wondered if any members had come across or fixed such a problem?? Thanks in advance.
  5. My blacksteel is exactly the same, set it 1 minute fast to take up the slack in the movement.
  6. Fanstastic set of photos Lani, good to see you revisit your old watches as well as new arrivals. Its skills like yours that make this site sooo good!! Regards J
  7. Seafoam, Fantastic Gen like lume job there, a great addition to the watch. Question about the transformer, how do you find the none clicking bezel? Does it move easily, is it purely friction that stops it from turning, so when wearing it are you constantly adjusting the bezel to stay straight?
  8. Really nice watch! Could you please post a wrist shot? I have seen this same watch listed as a 44mm diameter? Can you verify its a 47mm? Regards.
  9. I find the extra hole issue misleading also. I have a wrist size of 6.5" and fully expected to punch extra holes into the Blacksteels rubber strap. Upon receipt of the watch, I was very happy to find it fitted lovely on the last hole. I have a black faced BCE on a brown leather BOB strap, i find this combination very classy and the colour combo makes it feel smaller. This watch at 42.5mm would be my recommendation. Although beware that diameter isnt everything, most of the Breitlings are rather tall, the BCE is around 16-17mm thick? Regards.
  10. Here are a couple of pictures of the beautifull Blacksteel i received from Hont. Excellent service from this dealer, along with the best price. No quality issues seem to effect my watch. But saying that i am prob not as picky as some members. It is IMO easily one of the best reps out of the box. Any of the previously mentioned problems could effect any of our reps, not just the Blacksteel. It hasn't left my wrist since it arrived, i am really pleased with my purchase. Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Regards.
  11. This is a quick picture of my new toy on my 6.5" wrist! It is on the last hole of the rubber strap but looks and feel excellent.
