  2. Good evening everyone, I am new to the forum hi to all... I would like some assistance here, I am looking for a Breitling 22/20 deployment clasp, (strap is optional) do you know who sell them? I think 300dlls for a genuine is a little stiff. Any help will be very appreciate. Thanks! Ricardo
  3. Hi guys good evening, I am new to the forum, but not new to watches... I would like to ask if anyone knows where I can buy a Breitling deployment clasp for 22/20 straps; I found a couple on ebay for 350dlls but I think is a little too much for a clasp! So I wonder where could I but a rep which I guess are pretty much the same? That would be use in a rep V4 Avenger I am planning to buy, but it comes with SS bracelet. Any advice will be very appreciate, thanks!! Ricardo
  4. So as some of you know I've been out of the forum for the last couple months, I've been moving back to Blighty and had bugger all time to keep up with the new releases, what's due out soon etc etc. So what is coming out this year, and what are you most looking forward to guys I heard some rumours last year about the Pelagos coming out at some stage, the Black Bay has just come out hasn't it? Has anyone got one yet?
  5. Gentlemen, I am having quite a bit of trouble finding a dealer who distributes the Breitling Superocean Heritage with a White face/dial and black bezel, 42 or 46. Do any of you know a viable dealer?
  6. I came around this badboy. Im known not to hesitate so Ive seen this watch and had to have it! Since the release was in 2013 at the Baselworld. Im really happy I had the chance to get this one. Hard to explain in words therefore heres the review! 2013 Breitling Superocean M2000 unboxing video http://youtu.be/PrHzg0-6mJ4 2013 Breitling Superocean M2000 review video http://youtu.be/Fu9JmmkSQ0Y 2013 Mustang GT 5.0 review video http://youtu.be/JY1MtjmBYCE 2013 Mustang GT 5.0 some AUTOBAHN FUN http://youtu.be/R2m2UDeTOgk
  7. Trying to improve the AR on my Breitling. How and/or who could perform this?
  8. So, I managed to smack my watch against something, and scratched the AR coating. You could only see it under very specific lighting conditions, but it was the only thing I could see after it happened, and it was driving me crazy. I tried everything to get the rest of the coating off, figured it would at least be uniform that way. I tried rubbing compounds, polishes, pastes, by hand, and even a Dremel with a felt wheel. That sh*t is really on there, and I'm surprised it even got scratched in the first place. I had started to look for a replacement gen crystal, and figured I'd try more severe measures, figuring it could do no harm- so I took 1000 grit sandpaper, and wet-sanded the crystal. The AR coating is all gone, there are zero blemishes on the crystal, and it looks absolutely fantastic! You no longer get the purple hue in reflections, but there is minimal if any glare, and the surface looks flawless. I will take pics and post later during the day when there is better light.
  9. I bought a Transocean Chrono with a quartz movement a few months back. Basically I want to know if I could swap out the quartz movement for an A7750. Possible or not?
  10. WebRep currentVote noRating noWeight Looking to pick up a Navitimer World. So hard to find. Love the model. Trying to decide between World and Datora but leaning Datora. Help a fellow Breitling lover out. Thanks in advance all.
  11. Hi mates, Well I'm searching the web for a while, and i've noticed that it's kind of tough to get gen parts for breitling navitimers on the open market. I could find a few gen dials here and there, maybe a crown, but I haven't seen anything like a gen sliderule, or date wheel, movement, hand set etc up for sale anywhere, on the other hand - there are a plenty of gen parts for many other breitling models available on the bay (sometimes i've seen gen cases, complete movement+dial+hands etc,, but never of a navitimer) are gen navi parts so hard to source ? any input will be appreciated. thanks, Db1
  12. Hi. I have placed an order for Breitling Superocean 42 Abyss Yellow two weeks ago. Purchase was flawless, everything went fine and package has arrived three days ago. When i received the watch i was amazed by its quality. I can tell you, it was love at first sight So I have spent a little while searching for some gen shots to make a little rep-gen comparison. DIAL: Dial looks pretty good to me. It is not perfect, so there can be found minor flaws compared to gen. Edges of the numbers on the dial are sharper on the gen. Reps have the edges bit rounded. BREITLING script on the reps looks to be written with different font. It looks like Arial or something like that has been used. And maybe the font is a bit thicker than it should be. Yellow color is really close, but is not gen like. Gens use colors that are a little bit more saturated or darker, it is closer to orange. But there is only slight difference between these colours. Numbers on the bezel are also sharper on the gen. Hands (hour and minute) seem to be more rounded on gen. Rep are more flat. But these really are minor flaws as we are looking at both watches under macro shots and these are not noticable by the eyes. On the other hand date wheel or script is the same as gen. Bezel is rubberized, lume is well applied (but not that shiny). Other things such as triangle, bezel teeth, markers, BREITLING logo look perfect. All in all dial is great and minor flaws are accepted. It is like 95% gen This is the same thing shoot from a side. You can nottice the small color difference here. STRAP: Caoutchouc strap is one of the best thing on these watches. It is great. It is light, comfortable to wear and matches gen - same material, same design, same script and details. This piece is so well made, that if I would be gen owner, I would not buy gen strap from my AD. I would deffinitely buy this one! CASEBACK: Caseback is absolutely beautiful. Engravings are correct and also correctly placed. Only minor flaw can be, that the engravings on gen are bit deeper. But overall, caseback is perfect. No cons. LEFT SIDE: SO42 look very good from the side. He escape valve looks fine, case looks to have small noticable differences, nothing big. BUT what concerns me, are those screws on the side of bezel! They are incorrectly placed. All the gens have these screwed at 15 and 45 and each 10 mins between. Rep (at least my particular piece) have screws at 60 and 30 and then 10 mins. This means that each screw on the rep should have been placed 5 mins later I have been searching through TD sites and it looks like these reps come with two types of bezel. One that matches gen screwing and the other one, placed 5 mins later (or earlier . So watch out. RIGHT SIDE You see? No crown at 15.... But crown and B logo looks fine. Maybe on the picture the gen crown looks bit larger, but in reality it is the same thing. Slight differences can be caused be the fact, that my shots were made by a mobile phone CONCLUSION: Aside from the flaws these reps are must have. They are so well made, that they look very luxurious and expensive. I can tell you, with these on your wrist, nobody is going to ask you whether they are gen or not. Quality is awesome and i love them. The best thing about these Superocean is their size. For people with small wrists these fit just perfect. They have its own design, which many may not like. I love them, because they are perfet juice of elegance and sporty design and i feel comfortable to wear these on daily basis as my main dress watch. Some things may be improved in the future for V2 like correctly placed screws, better lume, correct BREITLING script on the dial and make sharper numbers. On the other hand, nobody is going to study your watch while you have them on your wrist with microscope. When properly serviced they will do great job and run +3 secs a day like mine (yes, within COSC standarts Breitling Superocean 42 are one of the watches, I would recommend to everyone. GREAT watch. OK. And now some porn: Thanks for reading
  13. Hello Gents just a quick post to let members know that the raffles are the real deal and please believe you can be a winner! I never win anything and this is very exciting. I'd like to share a few quick pics! Again Thanks so much Mike, RWG, and all the members that made this happen!
  14. So I have been lurking here for quite awhile and I think I am ready to make my first move in the rep world. I've decided I want to run a Breitling Skyland Avenger in graphite, now that I've made that decision I need to narrow down which model is best as always I know they're are going to be pros and cons to all of them. From what I've seen the v2 updated is the best version. These are what I see from Andrew with SS bracelets, please give me your advice on which one is the best and if the best is available somewhere else where? http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=16_137&products_id=9897 http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=16_137&products_id=3112
  15. Hi, I love my Bentley GT rep, but recently have fall in love with the Navitimer (tricompax secs @ 9 layout) rep and i've heard some rwg member had successfully put an eta 7753 in it. is it true that using a gen dial, a 7753 will fit right into the rep case ? (pushers line up and etc) What dealer has Navitimer (with the a7750 modded to secs @ 9) ? Many thanks, db1
  16. Just came in from Maggy at time shop I'm diggin the brown strap and gray dial combo http://www.tswatchltd.com/12785-p451-1240.html
  17. Well, thanks to Hansmeier and a couple of other members who have posted-up some gorgeous pictures of their new Seawolf I could not resist any longer and awoke this morning in a delirious state, drenched in a cold sweat, grabbed the iPad (that had over the course of the night made its way under the pillow), logged-on to TrustyTime (after a bout of cursing whilst frantically trying to remember my TT password), and ordered myself a shiny new Banana Seawolf V2. Now the inevitable waiting game begins till I receive my QC pics (which I shall share here to ensure my old eyes don't miss any details). Pictures of the actual watch received also posted-up on page 2.
  18. Lately I've been hearing about a new Breitling Skyland Avenger v4 with perfect lume dots... is it for real? Anyone knows who's selling them? What about the v2, anyone knows if they can still be found? I've only found v3's for sale...
  19. I bought a Breitling Superocean Abyss in June, 2011. I used it a lot the first year, ie more or less a daily beater. Shortly after it stopped, and I used other watches. I brought it to Thailand and got it repaired, the repairman didn't say a lot and I hoped he had changed the movement. Didn't get an answer and he said of course " a year" and I thought sh.t! The watch went perfect not slowing or fastening, however after a month it stopped, then going 2-5 sec and stop for some sec and going for some sec, etc. When I brought it to repairman in Thailand he said it had had a shock. I did not use it when doing manual labour, however after it stopped I shaked it a lot around. There is a retired watch repairman close to where I live so I hope I can get him to change movement on this. (He doesn't do complicated repairs anymore, so I hope he will do this) I paid about USD 270 + post, and paid too much for the repair , so I thought getting an Asian 2824 and getting someone to change this. Trying to find an asian 2824 seems a bit difficult, although some on ebay. From watchuseek.com comparison ETA 2824-2 , Seagull ST-2130, TY2130 and HZ 6300. http://forums.watchuseek.com/f72/how-do-seagull-hangzhou-compare-eta-depth-look-216945.html 1. The link above does say that these movements are about the same, but I am unaware how to find the right replacement? Is this a match? http://www.ebay.com/itm/ETA-2824-2-AND-SELLITA-SW200-CLONE-MOVEMENT-SEAGULL-ST2130-100-EXACT-SAME-SPECS-/121081456572?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c310467bc How to specify a movement that fits? 2. Pitfalls? 3. Good to load up with movements? I have different movements like 4813, 2824, 7750, quartz, etc. Was a bit disappointed that this "simple" movement stopped. 4. surprised that these movements cost after I heard on this forum earlier that a movement like this costs USD 25. 5. Also heard this model, the Abyss had a tube weakness, my watch has been easy to fasten crown after adjustment. I know some watches fail and others go for a long time, that is also my experience.
  20. Hello People of RWG! Became a member just under a month ago and have been lurking, reading and learning a whole bunch of stuff and of course staring at a lot of pretty watches. After perusing the forums and the trusted dealers websites i decided on the Yellow faced Seawolf and a Black faced Transocean. Purchased these watches from Perfect Clones and I am very super duper happy! Ordered them on Thursday 28th of Feb and they arrived yesterday 8th of March! here are the links to the watches. http://www.1-pc8838.com/blsw00008s-seawolf-ssss-p-12529.html http://www.1-pc8838.com/blt10007m-transocean-chrono-ssss-black-os20-p-12130.html Anyway... thought I should share some photos with you guys. Album link: http://imgur.com/a/9IZKM Thanks,
  21. There have been several of these showing up on the bay. They look like gen ETA7750, what are the odds they are actually Breitling? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140864159995&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123
  22. Hi All, I am new and i want to ask you: Do you know from which trusted dealer i can buy a replica of Brietling flying B with gold.rose gold case. I want a good replica with 20, 40, 60 on 3 o'clock position ot the new model. Thank you in advance
  23. Hi I am thinking about getting new reps and I need advice. I am always looking for something "interesting". Few years ago I fell in love with IWC 3714, but according to movement problems, i decided to wait until I can afford gens once in the future (100 with his stunning 3714-82 frankens is a damn lucky guy ). I have bought Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver Chronograph RG/BK instead, which are simply great, but not suitable for daily use (thick and heavy). I am not fan of Rolex or PAM (too mainstream, everyone have them ), as well as i was not fan of Breitling - the same problem. But I have changed my mind yesterday, when I saw Breitling Superocean 42 in the shop window. This particular model is something different from those usual Navitimers, etc. I was also considering IWC 3767-08, but cannot find proper reps with all three subdials in black color and I do not like Slevin as much as 3767 (and the next disadvantage is, that they are thicker than Superocean 42). My question is - should i buy Breitling Superocean 42? Thoughts, flaws, recommendations? I personaly like the Black/Yellow version and i wonder if it is available only with black Diver Pro strap, or you can get gen Black/Yellow Superocean strap. I have also seen, that reps offer 3 or 4 different movement options (depends on which seller offers them), so which one is better? Has anyone exchanged or modded dial and hands for more accurate gen colour? Thanks for your help
  24. Hey guys, I have a rep Breitling that has broken. The small hands have fallen out of their holes. (terrible terminology I'm sure). Can anyone recommend a repair place on here?
