  1. Hi guys, so ever since being into watches, Ive always loved the IWCs. The other day though, it hit me. Damn, APs are cool, and Jesus do they look good! Why did I never see that? Now Im here and am about to pull a trigger on an AP ROO. But which one? This one? Or this one? I have never been in contact with AP before, (and yes, I regret it), so I am asking the AP Experts in this forum, the following questions: 1. Which one would you choose? 2. How do they differ (except for the colour and the case material & finish, of course) 3. And which one is closer to the genuine? It seems to me as if the "asymmetry" Ive been reading everywhere is less prominent on the first Black Theme watch than on the second Grey one. As per my questions, you can see that I have no Idea (yet) about APs, so thank you all for helping me!
  2. Here is a few shots of my new donerix shark strap on my project X diver that i received today. I think it looks really classy! PS I'll try to get a wrist shot with it soon. Getting a bit late tonight...
  3. Hi guys! I'm usually not a huge AP fan, but this really caught my eye. Any ideas where I can find one? Yes, I know it's tacky, but I like it
  4. Does anyone know where I can get a set of rep end links for a Royal Oak 15400? I am dying to get a nice hornback strap on my Royal Oak, but the only option I can find is the AP Straps kit, and I am not shelling out 500.00 bones for end links.
  5. So now you got me, guys, I ordered a 44mm like the one seen at the comparison http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/168558-44mm-ap-roo-ss-rep-vs-gen-comparison/. However, I am not a rubber strap guy nor do I like tang buckles, I do prefer nice leather straps and deployants. So, looking e.g. at croc straps like those http://bit.ly/1payRGi I think the colors could make a good fit. However, given the size of the watch I would not use the standard ROO 42mm deployant, that would most probably be too tiny. So what would you suggest - or am I the only one thinking about a strap change? Any and all ideas are very well appreciated.
  6. Hello everybody! I am about to buy my first rep but I got this one problem. My wrist is pretty tiny (17cm / approx. 6,7-8inches) and I am affraid that watch such as 44mm ROO would look really silly when sitting on my wrist. You with 44mm ROO's or 42mm Divers and wrist close to mine, could you please post a wrist shot and help me? Thank you!
  7. Just got this in the mail today! It feels and looks absolutley amazing! Thank you Toro! Feels like i managed to get pretty decent pictures aswell for once Behold:
  8. Hi guys, I was wondering what's the best place to buy the AP Lava edition. Hope someone can help me out! ,cheers

  10. Quick Question! How Soon Will It Be Until The Next Ap Safari Comes Out? Thinking Of Buying The Latest One I see prices around $508 i think... is it best to buy it second hand or C&R? Is anyone willing to sell their latest edition C&R or pre-owned? Thanks! EDIT: Also, how close to gen is it? I'm thinking of getting the one from Torobravo's Which site has the best one? Also, what are the biggest flaws? Thanks!
  11. Gotten myself a V4 Swiss ETA with rubber strap few weeks ago. Just ordered the V4.1 Swiss ETA with SS bracelet and was hoping to alternate between rubber and bracelet without the hassle of switching. So happened now that the SS bracelet is not available till a couple of weeks time. I am thinking, if indeed the V4.1 is a better choice, I will let the V4 go to any interested parties and buy the SS bracelet separately. What are your thots, please share? Here are the QC Pics. for V4.1 The below are V4 QC Pics
  12. Is this worth the bait? or should I get a rep/bracelet from TDs? http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/Stainless-Steel-Bracelet-Links-Strap-to-fit-Audemars-Piguet-Royal-Oak-Offshore-/161085346106?pt=UK_Jewelery_Watches_Watches_MensWatches_GL&hash=item25816f513a
  13. Greetings, anyone from Msia? Newly joined, need guidance on rep. I have some queries that need inputs and thoughts from you guys if anyone mind sharing - Anyone (specifically from Msia) has any experience with Trusty Time? Like the quality, price, delivery satisfiable? Do they look very similiar to genuine? *I'm looking for an AP (navy or bumblebee or panda) and a Hublot BB Steel Ceramic - BTW, why AP bumblebee wasn't labelled "BASE" but "TACHYMETER" in the inner yellow ring? and it doesn't has a forged carbon casing right? will there be a new breed of reps or any possibility in ordering the parts stated above? Cheers ~~~~
  14. Hey guys, Is anyone in touch with Uwe or knows if he's still active and accepts jobs?! For those who don't know Uwe.. He's a German watchmaker (modder if you will) from Dortmund and worked on this http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/157009-dlc-ap-diver-v3/ for example! I tried to contact him but nothing yet?! If anyone knew about his whereabouts or could advice me on how to contact him, I'd be very thankful.
  15. Hi guys, just received a watch, movement not working. I am able to make it rotate via the crown but that's all. I am so disappointed. Any suggestions to buy from Italy at all? Thanks
  16. I need a couple of strap measurements for the ROO rubberclad sec's @12, mainly strap width where buckle attaches on the deployment type strap as I dont fancy the deployment and also strap width on tightest hole to see if its same width all way up. Thanks guys
  17. Dear All, I just had some time to play this morning so I decided to play with my AP RO 15400, the newly released 41mm version. As I got a GREY dialed piece (me love grey) and I knew it is fantasy anyway, I wanted to get rid of that bloody glas caseback....at least make the inacurate movement not THAT visible. I found some foil that works in the copy-machine, designed a new logo on my notebook, had it print out on that foil, cut it down to fit the inner side of the glasback....unscrewed the back, placed the "decal" inside (no glue needed) and VOILA, a new star was born. Now I have a SPECIAL EDITION AP RO 01/01 named GREY ... the caseback says No.0001 anyway, so that fits the bill. Let me know what you think..... Dr. Theo
  18. No signs of my Gold Fever abating whatsoever! WOW this is a nice watch!! Took me a while to get the pics to correctly capture the essence of this watch. It's a real stunner. The dial is a nice dark charcoal like the Rubberclad Rosegold. The black and gold surrounds are perfectly executed. Black lume is flawlessly applied. The pushers are modded already, nice touch. The Rosegold DLC plating and color are terrific. I paired it up with an AP Bands black Hornback strap. I think it complements the watch better than a brown strap. Perhaps you agree or disagree? If you're thinking about picking this one up, don't hesitate. But you MUST buy a Hornback strap because the rep one is def. one of the worst straps I have ever seen. This is def. one of the nicest reps I have ever seen/owned (in the same league as the Mr. Z modded Grand Prix and RG Montoya). You've just read my musings on this watch, now let us read your thoughts
  19. Hello Gents, Here are some quick pics of my Zorrolondon modified AP Grand Prix Rosegold. First off, in person this watch is STUNNING. It is hard to capture the essence of it with my crude photos here. Suffice to say, this watch is really special in the flesh. Paired with an OEM Grand Prix strap, this watch is over the top!! A BIG thanks goes out to Zorrolondon!! Please excuse the dust in the pics, the watch is in perfect condition.
  20. Well yes, I do have Gold Fever. It's a fact. And it's a new thing for me because I have spent years and years poking fun at gold watches. So I picked this one up. It's a Rosegold Rubberclad from the original batch. White date and highly accurate dial, etc. This puts the new version to shame. I love this watch and I wear it very often! I hope you like my 2 photos. This is a well-executed piece that is stunning in person. Cheers
  21. Another quick review with a quick pic! I got this one recently from a terrific forum member What a great piece this is. In person, it is draws a lot of attention to say the very least. The execution of details is phenomenal. Cheers!!
  22. Hello, everyone, I am now searching for the straps for Audemars Piguet Shaq. Frankly speaking, I purchased a shaq 47mm from a "trusted" website. ....you know....noob.... Although I have not received the watch, one friend already warmed me that the strap produced by the noob for Shaq ones (or those 47mm ones) might be easily recognised as a rep, coz' the quality of the strap is not good as the watch. Therefore, I am here asking for your help.... My question is: Where can I buy a great strap (the cheaper the better) for the Shaq one? Some said that HK Tan is great, however, to be honest, I don't want to spend more than 100 or 150 USD for another strap...... Many thanks in advance
