  1. Dear RWG members, Please excuse my ignorance as we are new to this forum and there is much we don't know. My stepson and I have decided to embark on a personal project to create a limited edition custom watch. We have access to a fabrication lab with state of the art 5 axis CNC's, 3D printing, spacecraft raw materials and plating. However, this lab will only be used to create prototypes and one of a kind watches In the end, despite our limited edition, we need to source movements and other parts from a reputable overseas maker of watch parts. In addition, we will need this dealer to assemble the watches. Can anyone guide us to the best dealer for such a project? Someone who can machine custom dials, cases and buttons for us? Someone who can source reliable mechanical movements that will not break down in a couple of years? Thank you, J&A
  2. Replica Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch 3577.50.00 Bought from http://www.ukswisswatches.org.uk/ watch arrived today , they don't answer emails , the chronograph doesn't work , the movement is a cheap automatic it has hacking and manual wind but not the manual version as advertised . The wording is incorrect on the dial , the back plate is also wrong for this model . I bought it for sizing purposes 42mm . With these issues , I want to warn future buyers to avoid this website . The watch cost £103 with free delivery .
  3. omega team, i have a line on a 2016 311. omega speedmaster. the hesalite plexi model on strap. it is from retailer sales case, but does not have the extra nylon straps, presentation box, papers, magnifier, etc. it is the exact model on the omega website less the presentation materials. the deal can be completed at $2750 total...bottom line. the watch is 100% new and with an original omega deployment alligator strap. the best price i have seen from other dealers and ebay is $3100. do i take it or look for a better deal?
  4. Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm considering picking up a vintage or semi-vintage Omega Speedmaster - GENUINE - Question is, manual or automatic? Please weigh in
  5. A little bit of whimsy mixed with an equal part of history yields the 2015 Omega Speedmaster Apollo 13 Silver Snoopy Award Limited Edition. This model is quartz and wears a little larger than the 43.5mm of the Gen, but it is all about the smiles it generates both from the wearer and those that take the time to notice... sadly the weakest part is the lume, I was hoping for a much brighter snoopy.
  6. I am looking at this auction on ebay. Do you think it is a gen or fake? I know the bracelet is not original. Attached are the pics and the quote from the seller. What are your thoughts? NASA Moon watch. Found at estate sale. Slight scratches on wrist band, Crystal is not broken but has some very small scratches. Keeps time, but stop watch doesn't work. I'm selling this watch as is. I can't confirm it's authenticity. Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch 3577.50.000
  7. So I have an Omega Speedmaster that I picked up a few years ago, I know that it is probably a fairly cheap version, and these reps in general are not very accurate, but I like it nonetheless. Not to long after I got the watch one of the pushers came off. I would like to have it repaired nd not just junk the watch. I'm more familiar with Vintage Rolex so I'm pretty much in the dark here. Any advice on the watch itself, as far as what model it is "based " on, getting it repaired, or possible mods/gen parts that can be installed would be greatly appreciated. Keep in mind that short of finding a pusher and literally gluing it in the tube this is a repair that I would like to find someone to do, and as said possibly some other mods if possible at the same time. Or..... is this watch not worth it and just start over with something else. [url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/usmctowgnr/media/Mobile%20Uploads/IMAG0466.jpg.html][/url
  8. Hey there, I am looking to swap my 45mm Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean (black face, steel bracelet) or my gen Cartier Tank (enamel face, reptile-ish leather strap) for either a Speedmaster or Planet Ocean rep with the clear display caseback; other watch offers considered. Photos available by email until I can figure out how to upload...! I'll pay my postage and you pay yours. I reserve the right to swap with whomever I like. David
  9. Just got these from my TD all looks good to me, I know about the sunken date wheel, but everything else looks decent. What do you all think?
  10. The watch was $20 and the strap was $50. I have read the Hirch Rally is gone out of production. Get it while you can.
  11. Hi all, i was wondering how easy this is to do if anyone's done it before? My speedy lost the stem one night and now the crown just sits on the watch unable to do anything rendering the watch pretty useless. Any help is appreciated! Apologies if this has been discussed or is a stupid question, i did search but nothing really fit the bill. Chris

  15. Hi, First of all I would like to say I am new to these forums and I am loving the community. I have been an avid watch fan for a while and have a gen Franck Muller Casablanca and a replica Mont Blanc and Louis Vuitton. I have been going through the trusted sellers list and have approached a few of the sellers regarding a Omega Speedmaster Professional with a black leather strap, similar to the one attached. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I am sorry if this seems like a newbie question.
  16. Hi, I recently bought a nice speedmaster rep. with a ST19 movement from a fellow member here. Problem was that the stem was missing, but finally I could source a new one. Now I am wondering if I should install it on my own or get it done somewhere.... I only found how-to's on removing the stem, so my guess would be that installing is just the opposite? - opening case - pushing the "stem-release" button and insert stem Can it be that easy? ;-) I have never worked on a movement before and would rate my overall technical skills at about 7,5 out of 10. Thanks for your suggestions & thoughts!
