paneristi
I think someone is trying to sell a 128 usd replica of the infamous mm20 as gen. Pls verify my thoughts. The lether strap seem to be of much lower quality with a spacing gap. Also the stamp of the rxw crown is not hollow as it should be. The fonts and sapphire seem to be different as well. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RXW-MARINA-MILITARE-MM20-KEN-TRADING-MENS-WATCH_W0QQitemZ140337779317QQcmdZViewItemQQptZWristwatches?hash=item20acc89275&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177
Lumpy1186
Scam tell tales 1. I received the watch from a friend 2. All of the instructions are in Japanese (printed on A4 paper with Inkjet printer) 3. None of the straps are Panerai 4. No Refunds and last but not least, 5. http://www.passions.com.sg/v2/watch/rxw-47mm-marina-militare-mm20-steel Same watch for sale here by same seller, and they admit it is a reproduction piece... if it looks like a Duck...... trailboss
He does admit it is a Ken Trading piece guys. I don't think KT MMs are 128 bucks! They fetch huge prices. The one on the other site is 2 grand. Col.
paneristi
pls just have a look on the caseback and you will notice the difference. I know a gen mm20 will fetch around 1300-2000usd depending on condition. If you got a rare pvd edition you might reach 2500usd. But he one on the ebay site is definately not a gen. Pls compare the caseback engravings especially the RXW emblem. http://www.passions.com.sg/v2/files/imagecache/watermark/files/7014-RXW5.jpg By the way I am looking to buy a new or used mm20 with sapphire glas. if anyone wants to sell . paneristi
128usd is only the mainstream price for getting the nw generation mm20 offered by Angus and trusty for example. But relying on my newbie senses I think it is still a fake.
l3x
It is a fake, as indicated, the caseback is a dead giveaway.
Ztech
Guys, this is an original "Ken Trading" RXW MM20. Yes, a guy from Japan made his own line of swiss powered "homage" watches in the likes of a Panerai. They are probably some of the best Panerai "like" watches out there with great craftmanship, build quality and lume this side of an original Panerai. I should know because I own one of these MM20's in my personal collection. They are highly sought after because Panerai sued the guy and he had to stop production of these watches. Ken Trading is still around, but they don't produce any of these pieces any longer. They can and usually do fetch prices from $1500 to $2000+ depending on quality. He states that this is a Ken Trading RXW MM20 so no lie there and he seems to have the "full" package as it came from the factory. Do a little research on Ken Trading RXW MM20's and you'll see that there is a big following and a high demand for these watches. Personally, mine is never leaving my collection. I've owned several Panerai's in the past and my RXW is on par with the Panerai's I've owned.

paneristi
I have just double checked and the watch was returned back to the seller. This confirms my thoughts thats its a fake. Beside I would not buy a fake for more than 1000usd including all mods.
paneristi
I seem to have discovered another scam. This watch looks pretty damn close to the gen mm20. It might be even one. Hoever, the movement inside is a dead giveaway and screams fake. SInce I d really want to own a mm20 myself I made a bit of research and it seems tthat the gen movement has some pattern on it. The lume does not seem to be of OEM quality too. pls check out the following link. http://cgi.ebay.com/Genuine-RXW-MM20-Box-Papers-6152-Homage-Dial-1950_W0QQitemZ280385624194QQcmdZViewItemQQptZWristwatches?hash=item4148491882&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 If its a gen pls dont bid
tanya
Z take a look at the crown. My gen Ken's trading I sold to you had a dish style crown no? This one have a Fiddy style crown like the cartel and Davidsen replicas = FAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like he's passing off his genuine box set, maybe the Connoly strap(although I can't tell from the pictures) and mating them with a Davidsen or Cartel MM20. Or the poor duche got screwed and bought a rep that came with a gen accessories set. Either way not a gen. FAKE FAKE FAKE Here's a legit one http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=4595880&rid=0 and another http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=4397811&rid=

tanya
Hard to tell on even alot of high end gens when they have genuine papers , box and accessories. And the Cartel Rep is pretty good. But the dead giveway is the Fiddy style pam bullet head crown. Ken's Trading NEVER used that crown style. Always had the typical Pam Dish style crown. Also the shape of the genuine Sapphire is much more unique, not so fat and round like a Fiddy crystal but more flat on the edges and domed in the middle. The Genuine mineral is fat and round like a Fiddy crystal but there is no distortion of the numbers under the crystal on the mineral If I can't find another gen I may build my own ultimate RXW rep with a T Crown and a more accurate sapphire crystal

Ztech
Yep, I just checked on mine and it does have a "flat" type of crown. Definitely not like the "fifty" bullhead (?) type of crown. I guess that's a red flag easily visible from pictures.

tanya
They wuld use Super Luminova which is the same Lume found in high end Swiss watches. Usually a sandwich dial relume costs about $150-$200. Rex is running a special over on the Geek that includes a Relume and regulation of the movement. Usually a sandwich dial relume costs about $150-$200. Rex is running a special over on the Geek that includes a Relume and regulation of the movement. Davidsen is using Superluminova on his watches. the drawback is that the brightness won't last more than a minute on mine. I have read that the best lumina is trinitec which is also used in OEM Panerai. Please correct me if I am wrong. Besides I have already registered on repgeek 2 days ago but still cant log in even after proper registration and activation. It says I am not authorized to access the pages? I have send the them a message but still have not received any response. is there any other means to contact Rex. and which watch specialist uses the best lumination which might last 2-3 mins? Does the quote 150 -200 usd includes the lumination of the hands too? that seems a bit steep.
tanya
RC Tritec is the company that produces superluminova which is in fact based on a japanese Company patent (Nemato??). Even the best superluminova will not glow at full intensity that long. You should get a very bright glow at full charge and then it will gradually fade but should still be legible in the dark. The more superluminova you use, typically the brighter the glow. And some colors will glow brighter than others. C3 which is a pale green color when uncharged will glow the brightest and longest. C1 which is white is not as intense or longlasting. Contact Rex, The Zigmeister or Vac and ask them all the questions you like. Rex goes by Trex650 or Trex450 here as a platinum supporter. Good luck
