Rolex Lv Sub Rep On Ebay

I'm not so sure that is a rep. Rolex experts please com forward and confirm...

I do not presume to be an expert, but considering the seller represents that his watch has a "Genuine Swiss ETA 2836-25J automatic mechanism/movement" I don't think you have to dig real deep to figure that the watch is a fake and the seller knows it. Note that he says the watch is "exactly as represented" probably to disavow accusations of outright fraud. It can't be enough on any count but I'm sure he thinks he's being tricky.

I tend to agree with you. Normally a seller would claim the item was 100% genuine, verified etc, he does none of that. Unsurprisingly he hasn't responded to my offer of visiting an AD.

It's genuine ETA alright... we should let PT know that his reps are selling well on the bay...I must have reported at least 5 fake LV's in one week...oh well, another one

Cheers

I don't know about you guys but I hate this kind fraud, the I-can't-help-it-if-prople-don't-have-rolex-movements-memorized excuse, more than I hate outright fraud. This guy's a scammer and a weasel. 99.99% of the earth's population is too busy working to pay their bills than become WIS's and this seller knows it.

He states it is a genuine ETA movement but makes the hole text and booklets etc look like it is real. This is a borderline case. F*ck it I reported it to Ebay... The people bidding this high must assume it is real... I don't want people to get scammed that way.... So if Ebay informs the high bidders and they are aware that its a fake its fine for me when they pay that price... I just think buyers are unaware... It is a damn good rep anyway.

What a scammer  I too joined the reporting parade and let's hope the bidding will be pulled before the closing which is 9 hours from now :)

Yep, just learnt how to report something myself - I'd hate to think that some one was paying £2,000 for this.

Actually, even worse, 90% of the population of this planet makes less than $100/month... :wounded1: I got into a pissing contest with another scammer a couple of days ago...he swore on the 'head of my children' that it was real...but would not put pictures of the movement or additional pictures of the LV...we ended up insulting each other via ebay mail. :Jumpy: I after reporting 10 or so over the past month...and seeing some of them going all the way to the end of the auction...I realized that sellers and buyers deserve one another...buying an LV on the bay to save a couple of thousand bucks? They are paying for the fantasy and delusion of wearing a 'real LV'...other prey on that character flaw or insecurity and make a lot of money in one shot ...it has been the way of humans in general for ever...I buy my reps knowing them as reps...I buy my gens knowing them as gens and for that ...like it or not...I go to an AD... :yucky:

Cheers

i think the seller is not a fraud... he will not sell it as genuine... he has mean that all buyers know that is a replica... he can´t describe it as replica, because ebay block this auction... maybe he don´t know other place for selling this? come to our forum :3a:

i mean: all buyers are stupid, if they bid so much money for watch with ETA movement 2836-2... :bangin:

if you don´t knows about rolex watches.... don´t buy it :g:

I reported him to the Bay and then ask him a question as to wether an ETA movement comes with this type watch. I bet he won't respond.

why you reported him to ebay?

he is a replica collector like us

maybe he want sell his watch not for so much money? It is his mistake that so much stupid ebayer bid so much money for a replica watch?

leave him alone

i think he will cancel this deal and has enough problems with the buyer in next time...

Not really, he is not selling it as a 'hommage' watch but as a Rolex... He covered himself by showing the movement and specifying it as ETA...so he is betting on the stupidity of others. Still, he is selling it as a Rolex -check the specs-...that is :g: ...mmm....ah, yes...fraud. For every one we shut down...10 more appear :bleh:

Cheers

Alex

PS: this is my comment to the seller...I couldn't resist asking the question...

This is by far the most money I have seen being paid for an ETA movm't...not a Rolex 'in house' movement....is the case, tube and crown genuine at least?

:drunk:

I've got a funny feeling that he may be acting as the buyer to avoid problems - not sure by a long way but it's possible...

It could be possible, but it is usually the case when the auction is kept private...they jack up the prices and then they offer it to the highest real bidder saying that the winner pulled or never paid...etc etc.

You have GOT to be kidding.

I disagree that this guy is a replica collector "like us." Maybe like you, but not like me. To me, you sell reps as gen you cross a line; fun little slippery slope arguments aside, I'm sorry to see we have members who find that a terribly complicated and abstract idea.

Yeah, you're right, he's clearly just trying to sell a rep, that's why under brand he put "Rolex" and under model he put "Submariner" and he uses the word "Swiss" about 50 times and the word "replica" 0 times. Completely on the level. What was I thinking, clearly this guy is a complete gentleman and it's not his fault people are dumb enough to be cheated by his scam. By the way, that's what all scammers and crooks say in every line of fraud in the world.

And yet you think this guy has a god-given right to cheat people without being unnecessarily inconvenienced and we're the bad guys for "bothering" him. That is an interesting viewpoint. And again, I have to say, you have GOT to be kidding.

I have to agree with Kanerich...you MUST BE JOKING right? I don't know where your morals are ... as per your quoted appreciation he may very well be like you, but not like me and not like the vast majority of members of this forum...like I said...this is FRAUD...the stupidity or ignorance of the honest buyer will not condone it. :yucky:

I just clicked on the link. I notice that the guy doesn't show the serial number of the watch. Lots of paperwork but no certificate or authenticity card that I can see. This guy is definitely SCAMMING!!

Uhh . . . he says and shows that the watch has an ETA movement. I don't think you need to check serial numbers or papers to draw the conclusion that the watch isn't gen. :g:

I agree that this guy is depending on stupidity of others... People don't know the nikkel looking purple Rhodium wheeled genuine movement and think.... WAUW GOLD inside it must be worth a fortune. They think: Genuine ETA movement this must be the Rolex name for the clock inside.. (they don't know the word movement). I think only people that have to much money will be this reluctant in buying a Rollie but still... They end up with a worthless investment... This is scam... I must admit that the way he walks the thin red line is an art on itself...This has to be a marketing specialist. :Jumpy:
