Some of these are ugly enough to be real designs. As disgusting as they are, I'm actually liking the skeleton Rollies. I'd love to wear something like that to a millionaire yacht club outing just for the priceless reactions.

A couple of days ago a found a friend wearing a "Tag Heuer Carrera" with automatic movement but non working chronos.

I thought it was the worst replica ever, but watching all this stuff, looks like a 1:1

I had a guy try to sell me one of these for 10 000 NOK (about 1500 USD) saying that it was the Bentley tourbillion. Now, i may be somewhat inattentive at times, but i DO know that 150 000 dollar watches aren't sold for 1 500 USD...

Yes, really! It's not a bad rep. It's an ironic, post-modern something or other that challenges our assumptions on brand names and status.

OK :D

Absolutely, I have to admit, I'm rather taken with the Deep GMT he's offering, there's been many a discussion of a diver's watch with GMT functions for some time :victory:

But lets be clear. None of us want tries to pass off our Rep as a Gen right? That would be insincere (sarcasm).

Notwithstanding the pictures where the watch itself doesn't function (33+ days in a month) how can one say these are bad? If we keep with the general premise here (and the most common way to pretend that buying a rep isn't really a bad thing)... Our mantra "One Never Ever Ever Tried To Pass Off Their Rep As A Gen", then the watches pictured above that do not actually not function but simply stray VERY FAR from the what the Gen looks like are not actually horrible are they? Some have some really nice aesthetic qualities: o_O3sEZL4ySGuZNFZ1.jpg

One day we will all come to terms with the fact that we buy reps because we want to have people think we own the gen but are too cheap to pay for it.

If you're laughing at the watches in this thread because they're off, or if you're secretly nodding with Corgi because you don't want *expensive reps*, then you're one step closer to admitting the truth. We want strangers to think we own a Rolex. And we laugh at these pictures because our inside voice says, "Man, nobody would believe that's a REAL Rolex". (you can substitute Rolex for your brand of desire).

Stay honest my friends.

And we ALL buy Playboy for the articles

I'm glad there are fakes like these in the market. I refuse to call them reps because they're too original to be replicas of anything.

As long as people keep conjuring up images of these when they think 'fake', they're less likely to call out good quality reps.
