koolkul Posted November 14, 2009 Report Posted November 14, 2009 HELP.... putting my watch on this morning and it slipped out of my hand and dropped on a wooden floor - watch still working fine put the silver frame around the day / date window has come away. How would I strip the watch to fix this - my only experience in watches is to remove the back and replace a battery!! Many Thanks, Kul
FxrAndy Posted November 14, 2009 Report Posted November 14, 2009 Not a difficult procedure, you will need to remove the back the crown and the movement and re-glue it on, but to much glue or the wrong sort and it could easily go wrong, I would first call around my local independent watch smiths and see if they would mind doing it.
lanikai Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 Make sure you understand the proper way to remove the crown before attempting this.. or you'll mess up the keyless works.. it is simple "once you understand the steps" AC Lani
