plaifender Posted March 23, 2010 Author Report Share Posted March 23, 2010 Still waiting to confirm the price guys.... the chinese are slow as molasses and the first offer they gave us.. they asked for a gen crystal as a sample... obviously that makes no sense.. since none of us have a gen 212 or 253 that needs its crystal replaced... AS of now, Offshore is still waiting to hear back from his folks in china on pricing quotes from various makers.. Sorry it's taking a while.. but it's a long process! P.s. anyone have an extra 253 mineral crystal to loan?? Of course you'd get your crystal back after the run was over. Offshore and I are still on this, and we've already gotten a response from at least one crystal maker, offshore is having his people in china quotes from other places so we can get everyone the best price for these. We should know something on real price really soon. The sample mineral crystal that paulw loaned us was definitely great and will be used once we move on getting a sapphire version fabricated. If you're looking for a sapphire crystal to fit a pam222 I don't think you should have a problem. I'm sure a sapphire crystal from a pam112 will fit that watch with no problem. This group buy is for people that have the 253 or 212 with domed mineral crystal. As to date.. we have not seen a version of these watches with sapphire crystal...
