athan
Hi to all, I just came accross to these two photos from a gen silver 1570 date wheel (from a 1665) and I thought of sharing them with you... Look at the texture of the fonts. Check out the superb "brushed" silver finish. When I'm looking at it, I just can't help it - I want to have a bite! @#$*!!! Would we ever lay our hands on a rep date wheel overlay that good? Would this be ever possible?
freddy333
A number of us have them (a 157x with a brushed silver datewheel) in our watches Eurotimez was selling (non-brushed) silver datewheels for ETA movements awhile ago that had very good fonts. I believe he was removed from the RWG seller listings due to shipping issues, but he might be worth a try.
panerai153
I tried to buy a couple of the silver datewheels from ETZ several months ago, and they were out and weren't planning to get more. They told me that they had to have a minimum order of 50-75 to have them made. At that time, they had no plans to get more unless there was a big enough demand that they could make an order. mjmj
Ask fxrandy. He got us some silver ones. He may be able to get more.
athan
I also have the ETZ silver overlay but the font looks too thin to my eyes. Nothing to do with the gen size. And off course the ETZ font is not embossed and there is no ray brushed finishing.
Jkay
The date ink/paint looks sooo good. Like candy!
