afternoon guys, came accross this datejust on ebay, was going to place a bid until i noticed the strange shape of the case, crown side. take a look and let me know what you think.

I don't really know... I looked through the feed back to see what else he was selling and back in November of 09 he sold a vintage rolex for

After having a look at the ebay sale page. I would suggest leaving it. He has 94% feedback and there is no photo of the other side of the bracelet clasp. If it was a gen there would be better photos and close ups of all sides.

Case looks fine.

This is a gen...maybe an aftermarket bracelet, but the case (head) is gen. The dial also looks original and not a redial.

Got 4 160xx frankens all have the little bulge around the tube area, though how pronaunced thay are vary on each case.

This item has a number of issues -

• Oddly shaped case
  
• Odd date font (could be an overlay)
  
• No pics of movement
  
• Low previous sales numbers
  
• Terrible previous sales satisfaction percentage (anything lower than 100% with less than 200 previous Rolex sales is cause for concern - 94.7% should be a BIG RED warning light, regardless of the total number)
  

I would let someone else risk getting taken. DJs (from reliable sellers with good, lengthy sales histories) are common on ebay. Wait, watch & you will win.

Agreed i would not buy from this seller, the datewheel with the spaced 3 and 0 is kinda questionable. The case however is genuine.

I would generally agree about the 94% feedback, but if you read it, it's a negative from someone that apparently is [censored] because he didn't get to buy the item. Not that it was defective or wrong.

thanks for all the info, i have already got a gen dj. but mine has not got the bulge at the crown and thats why i asked. would of bought it though.
