Got an answer from Josh and send him a pic of it..

He told me its correct

So I also noticed that the Dial Print is also light silver......

I have seen some gen ones it must be white text on the Dial also the date must be white thats fact....

damn I hate those things..

Some other member climb in that bought the 5th gen PO.

I want to hear if they have the same problem????

Might be because of the huge pic, but te markers at 3,6 and 9 seems crooked.

maybe the angle of the Pic....

all is fine expect the silver writin on the Dial and the shiny silver date numbers...

Sorry for the big Picture ;)

So nobody noticed that before or its only my Po with this flaw????

jchurch posted some great closeups of the dial over at the other thread. Based on his photos it does look a little grayish but i don't think it looks that bad. But hey what do i know :whistling:

So it seems to be a flaw on all 5th gen PO?!?!

The numerals on the Dial are white as it shut be compared to the text......

Is your date also shiny silver?

I'm not sure. Like I said, the pics aren't mine. But based on my powers of observation they look like the same color as the dial text(not including 12,6 and 9 numerals)

I just rechecked old reviews and in some pics you can see the different color: numbers 6,9,12 are white, other writings are closer to silver :(

Is it that obvious in the flesh?

for me it is for shure.....

I had a 4th gen PO I sold :bangin:

in the past.....

there all writings where clear white also the Date......

I never realized it before because on the Pics it was not really noticeable

Looks like the rep dial Omega logo has lost its happy feet, but decided to rest its butt on the top of the words below....should be spaced off it more me thinks...

Could be picture magnification and angles as Tribals looks better than the other on this issue?

I have read all the reviews across the forums and never noticed these issues before..... funny how we spmetimes do not see the 'wood for the trees' :whistling:

Hello Gang received my PO today. Mine has a black date wheel with silver date :(

It must be white I think.

Also the Markers are a bit creamy greenish.

I'm a bit disappointed, on the Pics it looks much better.

Did you get the version with the swiss movement or a clone? I got the clone movement and the datewheel was nearly perfect. The reason I ask is I have a 4th gen with swiss movement and the datewheel is as you describe (shiny silver). My guess is wherever they are getting these swiss movements from they just use the datewheel they get on the movement (if it's close).

As to the dial. I would say it is slightly off on the color tone and thickness of the print. The green hue you are seeing is from the light passing through the green gasket. My gen has that too in certain light (the gen has a green gasket as well).

Here's a gen 42mm for comparison.

This a a gen 45.5.
