redwatch Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Hello, I have a co-worker who brought me a Lucerne watch with a Brevet 314705 manual movement. It winds up, but stops at a certain point and at no time does the main spring start to release tension. The balance assembly will turn if you give it a little push, but only a couple of times and then ceases up. Any thoughts from the experts?

Well I kind of figured that one out already Just wondering if this is something I might be able to tackle on my own? I don't think my co-worker is that concerned about it. Basically if I can get it working they would be happy, but if not it's no big deal.
txcollector Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 it can be dirt, it can be incorrect oiling, it can be balance wheel out of sync with pallet fork, so repeat justasgood advice, service needed
