Kinda interesting how something as simple as a bezel insert can instantly change the look of a watch.

For example- My 5514. Here's how it looked a few days ago with an old scratched up insert...

And as it stands now with a cleaner insert/pearl; slight natural fading to the surface and toning of the numerals/5min markers...

Feels like a brand new watch all over again...

I'm torn... I love the wabi-sabi aesthetic, but I must admit, that new insert really does look the business :good::drinks:

Funny, I did the same thing today with my 1680.

I had a very nice faded inlay. But since I already have a 1665 with the same sort of inlay and I could get a gen inlay with Luminova pearl cheap I have decided to change the look of my 1680 to a more "just back from RSC" look.

Here is the old 1680 (together with his big brother the 1665)

Looks great, R, I just put the correct pearl-dot in the homebrew Snowflake and makes a huge difference by itself. I will need to put in a new insert, though...
