JohnDorian
www.yourtrustytime.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=30_191&products_id=9044 Apparently this is a better version than the one recently reviewed here. I asked Trusty but he has no idea if this will take the gen dial, gen crown, or a Swiss 2892. Any ideas?
FxrAndy
dont know about the dial and crown but the 2892 is a perfect swap for any seagul ST18, but personaly there is no need to swap them out as long as it is working
redwatch
A newer, better, bestest one? The one that was reviewed recently is pretty sweet so I wonder what they have improved (or in other words, what have they screwed up)?
ryaku
It looks pretty much the same watch...just with a different strap
cougar1
It looks pretty much the same watch...just with a different strap Yep, It is identical I think to the one that chrgod reviewed, the difference between this and the previous version that was on offer @ $228 is the gen croc strap and the AR has been improved (I think)! JohnDorian
Hmm I think it's different, especially since it now has the mag cover that the previous one that was reviewed didn't.
cougar1
Hmm I think it's different, especially since it now has the mag cover that the previous one that was reviewed didn't. Hmm, maybe you're right, I ordered this one from Josh last week so will let you know when i receive: http://www.1-pc8838.com/iw00109-mark-ssle-a2892-p-11756.html It seems you might be right, maybe Chrgod can let us know, there seemed to be an update to the model around a month after his review was put up? Hence the lack of antimag cover on his?. I honestly thought all were the same except for croc strap and clearer colourless AR on the dearer one. It seems it's this verses this: http://www.puretimewatch.com/product/mark-xvi-ss-11-edition-black-dial-on-black-leather-strap-a2892/ http://www.puretimewatch.com/product/mark-xvi-ss-11-black-dial-on-genuine-black-croco-leather-strap-a2892/
Adeodatus
Judging by my three day old Spitfire the AR is very good and the strap is of a good quality. So maybe it is abetter version.
whitestripes
$60 for an antimag cover is pretty steep. I doubt it's gen croc either way
JohnDorian
Its not just the mag cover it seems.
chrgod
Slightly better AR, antimagnetic cover and more refined finish inside the lugs seems to be the description of the changes.. (calls for V1.01?) I guess this is the same watch as the updated one on Puretime. One other change seems to be better engravings on the inside of the main back cover. The outside engravings appear to be the same, though. The old croc strap on mine was very stiff but after some weeks use it felt nice. From the pictures, I cant notice any difference to mine. whitestripes
emailed josh- so the higher end version has a slightly better finish on lugs (no pics though to show the difference), and genuine croc strap. apparently the cheaper version has the anti mag cover now, too.
