danza1812 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 New bezel arrived today to be fitted soon. Probably going to sell the old bezel complete, but I have considered using the pearl on my PO 42mm.
cougar1 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Looks sweet matt, have you got tools to get the old bezel off? btw what 42mm PO colour bezel are you looking for? Is it black? Cos I'm looking for a black aswell I do have a gen 42mm orange full bezel that I don't quite know what do with with at the moment, was gonna use it for a franken but not sure if I want orange...was gonna sell it.
danza1812 Posted February 1, 2012 Author Report Posted February 1, 2012 No im afraid I don't have tools to get the old bezel off, I've had a tentative try with a knife but it won't budge and I don't want to damage the case so off to a watchmakers tomorrow. It's a shame about your bezel, it's the black I'm after too as my po has white numbers.
cougar1 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Yeah the bezels can be a nightmare without the right tools, best to take it in to get it done, there were some cheapish bezel removers on cousinsuk but even they are touch an go and sometimes they don't get it off. Yep, bezels, damn changed my mind on orange and now want black with red numbered dial just thought I'd ask, I'll prob put it up for sale soon.
danza1812 Posted February 1, 2012 Author Report Posted February 1, 2012 I would keep it if you're going for orange numbers, that way for the cost of a change or a tool you can have a whole new look for your po every few months.
cougar1 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 That's what I was thinking, but not too sure the orange is for me ...not very adventurous here, might hold onto it we'll see, I've to get the red dial first!
danza1812 Posted February 2, 2012 Author Report Posted February 2, 2012 I thought I'd take the opportunity to spruce up the bracelet too. Can hardly believe this is an 11 year old bracelet! Did it myself using Sellotape, cape cod cloth and an abrasive block of garryflex. Can't wait to put it all back together.
