Leather Strap Quality SOSF V2?

Hi guys,

I was ordering two SOSFs V2 - one on bracelet and one on brown leather strap for a friend.

The leather one smelled like wet basement when it arrived. Okay this might be the result of long transport... But thats not the main point - now one loop broke. I havent seen it, but my friend is making mimimimi about this....

His guess is that the loop is only glued together?! Is there any way to fix it?

Hahah I want to keep him in the rep game, after he had two bad experiences

Just buy a new strap.

Check Panatime. They have some decent ones for Breitling and cheap ;-)

For the most part the Chinese watch factories are amazing at replicating steel and rubber but when it comes to leather, quality matters and they use the cheap stuff.

There have been a couple of new Panerai lether rep straps of high quality but otherwise best to stay away from rep leather straps for all rep watches.

Buy it on the bracelet or rubber and then buy aftermarket leather straps.

Panatime, Bob Waccec (sp) make some nice quality at great priced Breitling style straps or splurge and go with a gen strap which are easy to find
