speedbird100 Posted June 6, 2012 Report Posted June 6, 2012 This arrived today and I've already replaced the bezel insert. What do you think? Regards, Joe
seafoam Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 Very nice. These are growing on me. Love the jubilee!
woof* Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 Looks great, what is the bezel like? Does it come off, or is it paperclip type?
speedbird100 Posted June 7, 2012 Author Report Posted June 7, 2012 Dates look fine, open 6s etc etc. the bezel is held on by double sided tape. The new bezel pressed in nicely once I shaved it a tiny bit.
Guest zeleni kukuruz Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 Can we see better pics of the cg?
sneed12 Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 How incorrect is the small numerals original bezel insert? I kind of like the small numbers actually...
speedbird100 Posted June 7, 2012 Author Report Posted June 7, 2012 CGs Not sure about the 3s, I'll look later

Thanks for the reply...I was asking about the bezel, not the bezel insert. I take it you didn't remove the bezel?
speedbird100 Posted June 7, 2012 Author Report Posted June 7, 2012 Yeah I removed it. It uses a plastic gasket and is held in place by friction
the_rymeister Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 Looks good buddy definitely my grail watch
speedbird100 Posted June 7, 2012 Author Report Posted June 7, 2012 It's not perfect but it's good enough for me
speedbird100 Posted June 7, 2012 Author Report Posted June 7, 2012 Anyone have a Rolex jubilee they'd like to part with? Pm me please. The clasp I have won't fit this one.
sneed12 Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 I have a spare jubilee, but I wonder if it won't have the same problem you're having now. What clasp are you trying to install?
speedbird100 Posted June 8, 2012 Author Report Posted June 8, 2012 Btw case is engraved with "1675" on the lug
mrandazzo Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 Looks nice! Any Guinea Pig will try gen dial tube and crown mod? :-)
speedbird100 Posted June 10, 2012 Author Report Posted June 10, 2012 I'm thinking about shaving down the bezel diameter a bit. Are the results usually passable? Or should I just go with the WSO ring? Seems like it will produce the general look I'm after. Ugh I didn't want to mod but I think I have to a little bit.
