how do you find the alignment? any improvements that could be made?

Overall, it looks great. I'm still making a few tweaks. My problem is that I don't have any dial feet, so I spend a lot of time making sure the dial is lined up right before being able to check the alignment. To do it right, I really need to either find a dummy dial with the same size date window AND correct dial feet, or find a way to put some dial feet on my gen dial before I finalize the overlay sizing.

I'll post when I figure it out.

Nice choice! The stick marker silver linen 16014 is my grail watch. When I couldn't find a rep, I decided to (learn how to) make a franken. It's been a lot of fun.

Was anyone going to get into making these? I'd have to go and buy a new printer anyway, and would rather pony up for a good version than a new printer..... Just sayin'.....

i made a whole new template from a gen silver flat 3 open 6/9 date disc, scanned at high dpi, mathematically reversed the numbers so they ARE EXACT.

got a trial batch made last week on a silver brushed surface, should arrive this week, will post when received and will have to judge the quality.

your work are really great guys!

1. which self adhesive foil is the best (uv resistance, adhesive quality, thickness in mm, ...) for an inkjet printer?

2. is matt or glossy the right foil for a 1680 and 1665?

3. like this vintage dwo solution, i'm looking for a do-it-yourself dwo solution (eta 2836) for a 16610LN and 16610LV, how can help?

I'm am going to try printing some of these out and see how it looks. Might need to get a new printer first though. Mine kinda sucks. I guess I could go to a printing place with the file and get them to make a bunch for me...

Can anyone help with a roulette datewheel for a dg3804 ?

There are two versions of DG3804 out there.  The majority have "Rolex (1575) Aligned" datewheels.  I built a 1575 with the straight out of the box movement, the font was close enough.

LOL, I see this is a response to 9yrs ago.  About the same time I built a 1675/3804.
