ryanwayer Posted October 16, 2012 Report Share Posted October 16, 2012 Parts & Modded list:Gen DialGen Tachymeter RingLWO 283 Movement + DD moduleDouble AR Cyclops + Dark Side treatment.Change correct datewheel as close as AP , "Tiny" Aged the datewheel like Gen.Brush finished Date windowBlack PVD treatment for Date window. Most of the LWO283 (ETA 2892 base) Movement has White background datewheel, and the fonts is quite off if compare with GEN AP, I changed a better datewheel and did a "Tiny" Aged treatment. I saw some franken AP project has Double AR cyclops installed on LWO283 + DD module, but there is still a bit reflection on the Date position, I found that the GEN AP Datewindow is not Glossy , so I dismount the date window and make it brush finish, the purpose is reduce the cyclops reflection. After.... I have Gen Black theme Rubberclad dial set and white theme dial set, I noticed the AP Rubberclad Black theme has Black date window, so Black PVD treatment for my brush finished date window. Double AR cyclops + Black Side , This cyclops is much better than the Noob Factory latest one, I have compare with my GEN AP, this cyclops quality almost 90% like Gen. Gen Dial set + LWO 283 movement with DD Module + Double AR cyclops with black side + Correct DW with aged treatment + Brush finish Datewindow with black PVD treatment = with my GEN AP Panda Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Stunning post mate !I am really into AP´s and already had and have some fully modded ones (Blackthemes, Panda and now a Rubberclad) what always bothers me the most is the offlooking date compared to the gen - if the solution is the blacksideed cyclops "Double AR cyclops + Black Side , This cyclops is much better than the Noob Factory latest one" i really would like to try it out !
