Ricardo L
Got a new red 1680 from Andrew at lunch time, already put 3 scratches across the plexi crystal. .. at this rate it will really look vintage in just a month or so... (right handed + right wrist watch wearer = lots of scratches i guess)
freddy333
Fortunately, Plexiglas polishes just as easily. There are a number of popular xtal polishes out there or you can use my favorite, Meguiar's PlastX plastic cleaner/polish (available at most auto parts suppliers). Jkay
Cape Cod metal polishing cloth is great for Plexiglass.
Ricardo L
Cape Cod metal polishing cloth is great for Plexiglass. I'm going to guess that Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloth would hasten the vintage look -- which may not be a bad idea .. -- (so hard to read sarcasm on the net.. )
Jkay
No; absolutely not. I mean it polishes to a bright candy-like shine. No sarcasm intended.

Jkay
Buff the scratches out then remove the polishing paste with a clean microfiber towel.
JoeyB
Any light duty polishing compound will remove the scratches and polish up bright and new looking. I use 'Brasso', mostly because I have 38 years worth of half empty cans of the stuff. I use Brasso to finish polish the Rolex 6542 Bakelite/Persex/acrylic/Lexan inserts. It takes out the finishing sanding for a smooth, glossy shine. On deeper scratches use 1500 grit sandpaper to level it out, then polish. The sandpaper will dull and cloud the crystal, the polish will bring it clear, bright and shiny like new.
