Is there one Rep that does it all, is not a Rolex and costs below 10k as gen? Got so used to wearing each rep for the occasion that suddenly its difficult to decide on just one or two for all (too big, no lume, too expensive, too simple, too dressy, too flawed etc - You get the idea) If You where to cross-border business-travel several countries for 15 days with a leisure mixture of pool, beach & woods what would You take (if the G-shock or the Rolex won´t do). Specific model or picture attached would be perfect as I want to consider these on my "next-to-get-list". Big thanks in advance for your comments. It's available in 42mm or 45.5mm so you can pick the best size for you. Lume is fairly reasonable for a rep. It's a good quality and well built rep that's fairly tough and generally waterproof (though you should get your individual one tested to be absolutely sure). It's not excessively dressy which would allow you to wear it more casual situations and a few colour variations are available to suit. panerai153 Posted January 17, 2014 Report Share Posted January 17, 2014 I have two favorites First is the Rolex GMT , any model , however the 16750 has quickset, then the 16710 and the latest the116710. All are great and in genuine all for less than 10K, gently used for around 5K for the later model. 16750 116710 My next favorite is the Ulysse Nardin Big Date +- GMT more dressy than the Rolex models, but a great GMT with push button time change forward and back. If you are going to use the watch for swimming, might make sure it's one that you can get water resistant. I know that others have had good success with PAM's but the ones that I have had In the past were difficult to get sealed, mine leaked around the stem and crown, maybe poor construction, bad gaskets,etc. If you could get one reliably water resistant, I really like the older 063 and 029 versions, especially if you can find one that has an ETA 2893-2 movement . I have an Ocean 7 LM-5 GMT which s a very nice watch with a 2893-2 movement, it sells for 899.00 USD brand new, unfortunately, it looks sort of like a Rolex! On the Carbon strap that comes with it. Used the Seamaster Pro 300m for the last Years but felt it was time for a change. The PAM 233 GMT is on my list but waiting for a good rep; Rolex – Coke or Batman on the radar, most risky for border controls and can take only one. Haven´t been a Sinn-fan (until now) but will look for a U2 GMT (although too sporty for dress). Breitling possibly, but its too thick.
