I agree. I was following that story closely. The mother and those kids survived 9 days. I wouldn't last 2. My prayers go out to the family.

He was smart about it, leaving a trail of torn-up bits of map and things so people could find him.

It's a shame it turned out that way. What would I have done differently? I dunno... torn the carpet out of the car and burned it to make a smoke signal?

He gave everything he had to save his family. My hat's off to him.

What a sad story... it made me cry actually. It is also kind of inspirational. The world can be so jaded.. .just when you become really cynical about human nature you read about a guy like that.
