They are gens because Laco was one of the Big-5 producing Pilots for German Luftwaffe, like IWC, Lange, Stowa and Wempe! Be careful what you order: the "normal" 45mm (Saarbrücken or Westerland) have a "wrong" crown. Only the "Mini Replika" has the correct form of crown and the better strap. But this version has a crystal case bottom, which is complete wrong. The original Beobachteruhren have a metal case bottom - like Lacos "Saarbrücken" or "Westerland". A great pity! So order a "Mini Replika" with additional metal case bottom if you like a very accurate gen 45mm Beobachteruhr. Laco is flexible, they can deliver.
