rolojack
First of all about that build : A BIG THANKS TO DAVIDS100 WHO HELPED ME TO GET THAT DIAL !!!!!! Without you my friend, that case would still be sitting in a box !!!! We all find DW standard dials plates have a major issue : the position of the index too far inside touching the subdials... Well, why not simply move them ? I did it here, and it looks much better !!!! Simply chop the feet, polish the base of the index and carefully glue them at a better position ! Aside from that, I modified that case to a tonneau shape, with the sunburst finished 300 bezel and the round brushed back case often made by some Rolex USA service centers since the watch is fitted with a Rolex USA bracelet.

ww12345
Yeah, I'm the same way. Most of my builds take forever to get started and then they all finish at once! Haha

mcotter
absolutely stunning! a watch to be held as a standard that we all can look up to....There is a very small issue...The case back has been "spun", it should have a cross grain satin pattern...ok, I'm a fuss budget! sorry for the mention...Best, mcotter
ww12345
I think that's the "US Mods" he was talking about. The US dealers did weird stuff - kind of surprised Rolex let them get away with it, but until the '80s it was kind of "anything goes"... lhooq
Stunning work on the case, rolojack! The radial-finish bezel is an exceptionally well-observed finishing touch.
rolojack
Stunning work on the case, rolojack! The radial-finish bezel is an exceptionally well-observed finishing touch. May be the first rep bezel to be done that way I believe !!! For the case back also. I already have so many mirror polished and satin brushed casebacks, When I saw a picture of a 6239 with that finish I knew that would be my next finsh !!!
