astonjenks Posted September 7, 2014 Report Share Posted September 7, 2014 Hi Ede I have had quite a few 5002 and 5004's and there are a few differences on quality etc. Th emain issue with these can be the crown stripping the thread so always be careful when winding after adjusting time etc. The other annoying thing is teh rotor is very noisy. The attached is one of my slightly modded 5002's in as much that I fix the rotor so that teh watch is a mnaula wind only (good for 48 hrs) and I carefully lube the crown thread so that she winds on and off nicely. Keep in mind: it's a rep, it will never wind up as smooth as the 51111... And it's not so good manually winding an automatic watch every day. It needs a crown repair but is excellent with a full service, gen dial and Peter Alligator strap.
