Dam this is one sweet looking timepiece. The more & more I look at TT Sub's, its starting to grow on me.

If someday I ever decide to try and have one built, by Mike of course ;)  it would have to be a black dial for me.

But this 'Hobby' is getting expensive. Thanks Mike, your partly to blame for my low bank account

Enjoy wearing this bad-boy around!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey guys,

Over the past few weeks I toyed with the notion of upgrading some of the stock Yuki part to gen cal. 3135. With such a special build, who not try and add some "reliability" and "quality" to a long term investment. Anyway, after shipping my baby off to Mike the opportunity to get my hands on a gen cal. 3135 presented itself and I went for it!

I was going to hold off until she came home but couldn't wait. I present to you my updated franken 16613 now running on a freshly built cal. 3135. In addition, I had Mike install a Thomas Preik sapphire caseback so that everyone else could celebrate and share in the pride of this spectacular masterpiece of a movement.

Current specs as follows:

-TC v6 mid case
-WM9 bracelet
-WSO bezel (ST friction washer)
-Thomas Preik caseback
-Gen "SWISS MADE" dial
-Gen hands
-Gen date disc
-Gen crown/ tube
-Gen crystal
-Gen cal. 3135 movement

I was surprised to see a weight REDUCTION after installing the gen movement and sapphire caseback wallbash.gif

Thanks guys, yeah she's certainly an impressive build.

Once she comes home (which is hopefully mid next week) I'll post some more photos. I give all the credit to Mike, he actually put the entire watch together.

Guys don't be scared about the costs, if you wheel and deal the parts and take your time, your build can come in at less than half the gen cost. Ceo and Rudy will tell you the same.

Ezio,

I personally wasn't a fan of the clear caseback myself. I'm only trying this out to visually see the money I put in her. I may go back to standard spec caseback.

Im sure the novelty will wear off...Unfortunately a watch isn't like a car. You cant hear and feel the money you put under the hood.
