Chuck P
Both survived a week of body surfing in the Pacific. No issues at all accept maybe a little sand under the bezel of the 1665. Easily rectified.
ProMariner
Very nice Whoopy mk2 dial Does the case have a faux or working HEV ? (Like phong and yuki cases does ? ) Edited December 1, 2014 by ingelero
Chuck P
Actually not a Whoopy dial! This was a prototype PT from some time back. One of the nicest rep 1665 dials I have seen (especially in the price range)! Better than the Whoopy which I sold because this one is better. HEV is faux....sealed inside. I don't think I'll ever need it. Lol.
Nanuq
Dang that's a pretty watch. Isn't it fun to take those old timers in the ocean!
Chuck P
Thanks Nanuq! Yes, something extra satisfying about taking these things for a dip! Partly the beauty, partly the "see, I CAN make this watch water resistant!" :-)
droptopman
Man that is one beautiful looking piece. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.

blue.
Pretty nice, Chuck! We are still missing some pictures and report about the 1016
dieselpower
Excellent stuff. And there I was thinking that Rolex were the only people in the world who could make a watch waterproof. Amazing
Chuck P
And the 1016, with a brand new Swiss engine running under the JMB-based hood. Also performed flawlessly in Maui.
blue.
Great to hear that the JMB case set is also ocean tested, Chuck! Hope you rinsed both watches with fresh water after each saltwater session.
Chuck P
Sure did. Back to the condo for a full fresh water rinse each day. :-)
