508-Fanatic Posted October 7, 2015 Report Share Posted October 7, 2015 Exactly correct - the movements themselves have skyrocketed in price because they can go into Daytona's and repper's /frankeners what have you are driving that market. Also, just having them around for parts for vintage daytona's is important...so, that and the ever scarce donor watch market leaves you with a rather expensive movement.
