Any love for the SD 16600?

To me it represents a nice bridge between the vintage and the new. Just ordered one with Swiss ETA from Josh and can't wait to get it. Thought about getting the lugs drilled but not sure I want to mod it.

I have one on my bucket list, so yes there is love here. I'm told it can be frankened to quite a large extent. I'm not sure if it's a gateway or a void between vintage and modern. The sub 16800 seems to be unloved and very affordable at the moment, but I think it will not always be so.

Please post pictures and a review when it arrives.

16600 is a great tool watch and the last SD model before Rolex changed to the ceramic bezel version.  I still wear my SSD on a regular basis.  Actually, the 16660 or triple 6 sea dweller was the bridge between the vintage 1665 and the modern versions.  All great watches with a lot of history.  Enjoy!

There was a time when the 666 was my favorite Rolex.

I built this a couple years ago but regrettably sold it....

Wow! I had a gen 666, but had to sell it. Do you have a build list for the one pictured?
