ogladio
Thanks to rolli and grimlocktime, I finally have a 5218-202/a again. Wanted to share with you some pictures and details for inspiration. In many ways, this is in my opinion the perfect Panerai to wear: Not bright shiny new and without soul as the new models from the brand - but not 47mm+ and as military feeling as the 50s models Clean base dial, but balanced with the 4-liner approach PVD perhaps makes it a bit more exciting and tactical feeling, especially with the coating on this one Parts list: dial and hands from rolli w0lf case, fantastic pvd coating from the latest run managed by Grimlocktime lh cg, modded by zigmeister jakob caseback bm c3 crystal eta 6497, h3 cp and h2 hour wheel panerai pav90 strap Pictures (pardon dust): Photo borrowed from Grimlocktime to illustrate the different shades of the pvd depending on light: Thanks for looking - now go build and share! Dilligaf24824
Lovely execution. Congrats! Where can I can find pav90? That strap is exceptional!
ogladio
Lovely execution. Congrats! Where can I can find pav90? That strap is exceptional! Thanks mate! Agree, Panerai put out great straps back in the 90s. As you might know, the PAV strap series were OEM replacements for the pre-v straps. They were a bit longer, went through the Kodiak water proofing process and were made in Italy (this was before strap production was outsourced to Hirsch).I found mine through I guy I've been dealing with earlier, but best source is to scan Paneristi market. Prices can however be quite high...

Dilligaf24824
Thank you and I will make sure to keep an eye out on their forum. I have to agree with you on the Prev that they are by far one of the nicest pams ever built.

granvino
Pre V straps in NOS condition go for $1000 to $1500 if you can find them. Great build, as expected from Grim. Congratulations

mir36
That's a keeper for sure. PreVs have been quiet for a while. I guess folks are hoarding parts or preparing for their winter builds. So always happy to see more added to the family. Here's mine saying hello.
