Hello and welcome to the community. We always recommend using TDs for that and other reasons. We insist the pictures are of the actual rep, lots of sites online use pictures of the genuine watch, and one has no idea what they will actually send, if anything. In case it crosses your mind, no we don’t get any commission or anything else from the dealers?

Always use a link from the forums to dealers sites, rather than using google. All too frequent scammers create sites that look like known dealers, but in fact have nothing to do with our dealers. If in doubt as, either Mods by PM or make a post asking confirmation .

When it arrives, show us pictures. We love pictures

www.puretime03.com is safe yes. I’ve personally used them a number of times. The only silly questions are the ones not asked. Before you get carried away, do some research on the watch you are interested in. There are some reps that are all but indistinguishable from the genuine and others that are not so great. Maybe even let us know what you are interested in and will give you some pointers.

Ah mate your a diamond, never used a forum just finding it difficult to navigate the site, to be honest, I have a mixture of genuine and rep, but what I’m after is something vintage, vintage sub, or if I can get a good comex

A good COMEX you will have to build or have built. Like much in life, it depends on your budget, how OCD you are about small details and how far down the rabbit hole you want to go. Some of our guys have franken builds that are pushing ten grand, some have reps that cost less than a hundred quid, sometimes one guy has both.

If you can live with any of these, go for it. They are cheap enough and can be greatly improved if you are inclined. A genuine COMEX has a very distinctive square Centre to the O in COMEX. The dial can be exchanged for a better one from Vietnam at a cost of about $150-200, the case can be shaped and improved on, the crystal can be swapped out for something more convincing. All this can be done stage by stage or you can just accept it as it is, because who is going to believe any COMEX not in a safe is genuine anyway.

If you want to check out the other end of the spectrum

Even these can be improved, but you are talking $1200-1400 just for a case
