Vintage Panerai Angelus - Enzo Project

Well many moon's ago I read Guille's project on one of the gen forums and I was inspired. However, I really did not care too much for the rolex movement. I really wanted an Angelus 8 day. I wanted one BAD. So I started looking and it took a LONG time. Then I came across two of them and I knew I needed to jump. This is where enzo came in at first. We both wanted one bad so I figgured that we could each take one and perhaps he would be kind enough to make mine in a watch.

Well this was more then 1/2 a year ago now and I finaly have my beauty in hand.

This is what inspired me...

Since I already had a destro MM I thought I would go righty on this one. Let me tell you this. If you have read Guille's story, mine is the same. This is a very hard project and anyone who was able to make this movt work in a watch has learned a lot through trial and error. enzo was kind enough to make a very special strap for my project watch as well.

I need to thank Davidsen as well as his vintage parts were inspired by enzo's suggestions and our needs for this project watch.

Here are some photos.

Once was a clock.

Then just a movement (note that the alarm knocker was removed).

Now it is a watch.

Can you please help me having informations about finding the right case and mage the movment fit the case?

CAn you please help me in my project, thanks.

Thanks for all your questions. Enzo and I became friends long before this project began so when the idea came up he agreed. It may have had someting to do with the fact that I found two movements and he got to keep one of them.

These hands are angelus hands that came with the movt/clock. They are the exact ones that were used in the gen vinatge panerai.

There are many reasons why these are tough to put in a watch. Cannon Stack height, movt size from all angles and more. If enzo shows himself here perhaps he could answer more.

The movt was also professionaly serviced before it went into the watch.

Simply Stunning! :1a:

So if this watch is based on a vintage Panerai and a modern Richemont Panerai is based on the same vintage Panerai are they "Replica Panerai?" In fact the very name used by D. Zei LOL

Once again just beautiful, hats off to Enzo also!
