Gen movement in JMB's 1016 case ?

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I've already purchased a gen 1016 dial and a 1560 movement, currently in a 1600 case.

Looking to buy JMB's modified 16200 2824 case. Has anyone tried a gen 1560/1570 in these 2824 DJ cases? Does anyone know if there are other issues with doing so?

I noticed they have come with a spacer and i'm assuming that's for adapting from 11.5 lignes (2824 diameter) to 12.5 lignes (1560/1570 diameter).

Thanks!

B

Several people have put a 1570 in a JMB case. Here's one thread for example.

Having said that, I would check with JMB. I wasn't sure from reading his last thread if the new batch of cases he just received are exactly the same as the last time he was doing them.

This batch is the same as the later batches with the larger dial opening.  The spacer is 29.17mm so everybody can use that as a guide but I have to put out the disclaimer that I have not tried a gen movement in the case...
