Is 47mm too big

I am fancying a Pam 690 because I like the blue dial and lack of crown guard. But it only comes in 47mm and I think that is too big.

What do others think and do you know of an alternative?

It’s basically in the head of the watch, here’s a 47 and 44 in same wrist

Don'

I love submersibles and I prefer bracelets to straps, as far as I’m aware there is only one 44mm submersible on a bracelet and I no 47mm with a bracelet option. I can’t even find a 26mm aftermarket bracelet to fit the submersible online.
Can anyone offer some advice, my wrist is 8.25” - 8.5” (yes, really!) I have tried a 44mm marina and it fortunately still looks great, the proportions are good, however if I had the chance, there’s obviously a choice of 47mm pieces.
Appreciate if anyone can help me with this...

Yes, there are no 47mm PAM Submersibles with bracelets and aftermarket options are not available (believe me I've tried). If your wrist is 8.25"-8.5" your wrist should rock a 47mm just fine. I have a puny 6.25" and I think it looks fine (or I'm just telling myself that LOL). Using the standard formula wrist size converted to mm divided by 4, your wrist can accommodate watches up to 53mm. If you want a more sporty look, there are kevlar/composite straps for 47mm PAMs with dive buckles. Some of the PAM submersibles can be ordered with that option. By the way, there are actually 2 44mm Submersibles with bracelets, the PAM106 and the PAM170.

I will on occasion wear a 45mm and 47mm - (IWC and Panzera) - the Panzera wears slimmer at 47mm and fits really well. I don't have particularly large wrists, my 36mm vintage datejust wears just fine, and I think 39mm-40mm is just about perfect.

I am wondering if we'll ever go back to a day when wrist-clocks aren't in style... and 22-26mm for ladies, and 32-36mm for men is the standard. I doubt it, but who knows?

Why wait for it to be the standard again? Just wear what you like. :)
