Either worthless or a real rare bird and then your talking some $! A pimped out 1803 maybe guys? alligoat Posted January 14, 2018 Report Share Posted January 14, 2018 Don't get your hopes up! The Day and Date fonts are totally wrong- looks like it may have an eta movement possibly. Hands are also wrong as is the winding crown. There are 18K Italian bracelets made and they are ok, and if the case was also 18K at least you'd have some real gold. If you see any signs of fading on the gold parts, then you know it's gold plate. Take it to a jeweler to see if the bracelet and case are legit. Because it's rolex style doesn't mean it has to be rolex. Also it might be a one off gold watch for services rendered over a certain number of years. I had this valued 2 years ago but the jewler wasn’t a watch expert but he did say, he thought it wasn’t a genuine Rolex. I’m not sure the weight but he offered me 7k for it? I am sure that your jeweller knew what he was offering and so, you have a nice piece of high value jewellery at the minimum. The movement, judging from the datewheel, may not be a genuine Rolex one, and like @reckoner777mentioned above, it looks like a standard ETA one. dj_nut Posted January 16, 2018 Report Share Posted January 16, 2018 Personally I prefer the eta it's cheap and easy to repair and service, and when setup they can be extremely accurate.
