My two hand made GPF buckles for 26 mm PAMs

Two hand made GPF buckles I made for a project of two hand sewn straps. One is made from a 2 mm thick brass plate, and the other one from an old gun piece, a 4 mm thick dur aluminum. Guess what, the buckle tongue has turned out to be harder part to make. Still, I found way to handle that too. Stainless steel to is the more difficult one especially

I suppose the brass is aged with boiled egg. Am I right?
