hello guys ,

recently bought it from kuvarsit at exorbitant price 😞,

but is the one without the word s&l on the dial and better plot lume indices .

the bezel is black/red .

coming soon with some light mod: i think switch to 2846 low beat, shorten the lug , add some scratch on the case and faded the bezel.

for now some pics with homemade guarantee certificate paper and tag..

A lot of toilet paper  Dan ( you got that right) , why bother. On another note I checked on their site did not see, you have a link?

In mean all the 6542 in chrono24 have aftermarket parts not state or also toilet paper sometime..

Yes ,

but if I remember correctly TS have only the one with s&L dial ..

The dial is not a real gilt obviously, but IMHO this dial is already nice, so is not necessary change it with another one, like you are obbligate with the jkf cartel. So are 150/250 euro saved.

Building your own would cost about the same depending on how and where you source parts. The ETA 2846 is what I used in one of mine and in the 6204 I built. I like the movement very much. A Brevet + crown would be a nice touch. I'd suggest genuine Rolex spring bars. I hope that the bezel is dark blue, not black, and red. Rolex did not make a 'coke' 6542 that I know of.

I have already a 2846 on my drawer not sure if a real eta or a copy.

brevet crown ? athaya maybe have this or other source ?

The bachelite in reality is black not blue but seem a very deep blue how some old 6542 see gen example below the link

Forgot to mention that the TS with s&L have deep blue insert ..

I have a doubt about the triangle indices at 12.

On this rep there isn’t gap between the top of the triangle and the chapter minute ring .

Seem like the 1958 batch (see vetroplastica link forum below )

Maybe some expert here can confirm if this mark/batch exist

Also found this discussion not clear if gen or rep about a similar dial

All the watch on sale on chrono24 have this dial with the space between the triangle and minute chapter ring .

Here's the one from TS Watch- looks to be a little more pricey

TS watch for what I read is not a trusted dealer so I don’t give too much trust/credit on the pics , also this dial seem print with a home printer ..the word are all grainy..

KJ2020 and I have both bought from TSWatch- but who's to say if they can be trusted. Kuvarsit isn't an approved dealer here at RWG either- sometimes you have to operate on the fringes and take your chances. Being in Italy/EU might also make it more difficult- I've never had a problem getting a watch here in the USA, but I've read that Customs are more difficult in the EU countries.

I do agree that the dial on the TS Watch isn't that good

alligoat yes in Italy the custom is a problem so I have chosen triangulate shipping ..

joeyB which cheap case option we have other than expensive (600-1200usd) phong and ruby ?

The jkf cartel are not correct also if you work on it for thinner the case .

because the rear case and caseback are not gen spec.

This rep have the correct caseback profile see pic below

Below hontwatch 6538 caseback ( think is jkf ) that for what I know is not gen spec

There is no correct caseback for the 6542 which originally is a two piece design. The one you picture for the 6538 is what I used. My dial comes from countless pictures and hours of work. The case I used was the first 'Tiger' case, no longer in production. I'd recommend taking the lower edge on the side of the case down a bit. I took it down with a buffing wheel taking off the sharp edge. It makes it look thinner.
