pcardoza Posted November 11, 2019 Report Share Posted November 11, 2019 Has anyone tried the watch servicing that Trusty Time offers? I'm tired of receiving watches that arrive in need of work. Andrew lists full servicing for $120, which seems to be a reasonable price if done well. I'm going to grab the new Breitling Hurricane from him and am trying to decide whether to try the servicing as well while I'm at it. Thoughts????? My watchmaker won't mess with an asian 7750 and since the days of Ziggy, I haven't found anyone else in the CONUS or Canada who will work on an asian 7750. ceejay Posted November 12, 2019 Report Share Posted November 12, 2019 Questions I would ask Trusty. Ask for a 10 second minimum timegrapher reading in 4 positions before the service. Same after service. Dial up, dial down, pendant up, pendant down. Ask if mainspring is replaced with a decent (Swiss) one. Ask if cap jewels are removed, cleaned and lubricated. Ask what lubricants are used. Moebius lubricants are pretty standard with decent watchmakers. If any of these conditions are not met, don't waste your money.
