flavor flav Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 my 18 month old daughter loves my watches so i built this one off fully custom pam for her! kid friendly edition! pink superlume, custom airbrushing....and fur!! she loves it and keeps saying "waaaaach" ...."waaaaach" ...."da da" ...."waaaa" ..."waaaach" was worth all of my time on this one to see the smile! she stares at it and smiles.. then listens to it ticking by her ear! *update 5/12/07* i just have rodone the dial and hands with pure pink superluminova a bit bolder shade, tall cannon upgrade, seconds hand clipped so she can notice it turning better, and the movement is superlumed as well so she can play with it in the dark. i also honed the cannon pin a bit so it is easy to turn the crown to change the time as she loves to mess with the crown but couldn't turn it before. i also ordered her a new case set as this one has stripped lug screws..
rag9fx Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Get 'em while they're young right? Gosh by the sound of it she is already addicted! lovely job on the watch... maybe folks at OP should take a page out of your book and start hitting up a younger market ?
flavor flav Posted May 2, 2007 Author Report Posted May 2, 2007 got good use of my spare parts! 100% made from stuff laying around the house..
flavor flav Posted May 2, 2007 Author Report Posted May 2, 2007 it's hard to tell except in the little wrist shots.. the dial color is airbrushed iridescent purple. looks like anodized metal in person. very cool effect. i may try some other colors for another project. i like the paint.
Stephane Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Beautifull girl ! Congrats Dad. Great idea to build her such a lovely watch
chubbchubb Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Sweet idea... (and of course professional workmanship)
jfreeman420 Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 That is great. Matches the interior of my cadillac. Very good idea. You are one great daddy!!! I'll bet there is a market for this design.
FasTTaP Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 She's really cute, guess she'll be on this board within 4 or 5 years :2:
tech Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 You have a beautiful daughter. Thanks for sharing! cheers
rolli Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 hi dad, superb, it's a perfect gift. really cute your peewee. :thumbsupsmileyanim: rolli
trinsic Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 The key is to start them early...well done! Soon she's gonna plonk her pocket money to get one of them davidsen calis or the luminors...
iglutikut Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 That is soo cute. What a beautiful girl you have there. The watch looks fantastic too. My 2 yr old son seems to have an interest in daddy's watch collection. Of all the reps and genuines I have he loves the PAM's the most, seems he too likes the 44MM and larger timepieces. His favorite of course is my gen PAM183 above all others.. Guess that even at a young age he knows the good stuff when he sees it and wont settle for anything else. Unfortunately he likes to wrap it around his stuffed puppy's neck and carry it around the house. LOL
who Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 She must be the youngest person wearing a PAM. I hear she says " this is my first Pam"
