Watchmeister Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 Dani is right that the Aquatimer does come with a bracelet but out of the 20 or so gens I have seen I have yet to see anyone wearing it. I have seen a couple of really cool croc straps though.
Dani Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 Dani is right that the Aquatimer does come with a bracelet but out of the 20 or so gens I have seen I have yet to see anyone wearing it. I have seen a couple of really cool croc straps though. I have seen 4 aquatimers here in Oslo,Norway and not one whit rubber..I have seen the non chrono on rubber here.. I think the rubber looks as good as ss so no worrys here Hope its easy to find cool straps for this one
uziuzi Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 thats the genuine! Good boy !...and since you like it so much, here is another one... I think the rubber strap makes it more useful to wear for showering, and its certainly much more comfi than steel bracelets...
Watchmeister Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 IMHO, the rubber strap on my CD is one of the best rubber straps I have ever worn. Definitely more comfortable and easier to put on than my gen Breitling or gen Panerai.
yellomen Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 I just got an email from Angus. He tells me the factory will make the steel bracelet! They have a problem though and that is that the steel bracelet has a 2 month delivery time in HK. He wants to know if there's a way to get a genuine steel bracelet with them so they can use it. If anyone has an idea, please mail Angus or me!!
ryaku Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 I just got an email from Angus. He tells me the factory will make the steel bracelet! Wow!!!
Guest avitt Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 I just got an email from Angus. He tells me the factory will make the steel bracelet! Excellent! Then I'm down for the steel AND rubber package, of course
eunomians Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 Ohh yeah, steel and rubber for me, too. Nice, this is getting to be a lotta fun again. For a long time, the rep game was dull - - not anymore!
uziuzi Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 Exciting !!!!!! I love this interactive system. Hopefully one day there will be a raffle on this board with the first price being a trip to China to experience the repping of a new model 'in flesh'...that would be fun
swemoose Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 I wonder if they could get the Cousteau SS endlinks repped? If so, you could use the "Slevin" steel bracelet for the Cousteau......
dvn Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 What is the differences between this and the cousteau divers? Would the day and date fonts be more accurate then the cousteau?

yellomen Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 I wonder if they could get the Cousteau SS endlinks repped? If so, you could use the "Slevin" steel bracelet for the Cousteau...... Technically this should be possible... the size is slightly different but the make of the bracelet is the same.... as far as i can see...
yellomen Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 Just a question... do you think the IWC GST chrono and Aquatimer bracelet would fit the new IWC Aquatimer chrono (Slevin)? It seems the way to attach the bracelet to the case is the same... any ideas on this? Maybe Angus doen''t have to buy a $1400,- bracelet but can just brush and resize the existing bracelet....

I was thinking the same thing. It's the same links as the Aquatimer 2000 as well.
hilts Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 Excellent! Then I'm down for the steel AND rubber package, of course Me too - I can't wait - collecting the full IWC catalogue at this rate! Grand Complication next!!?? Hilts

lfovco Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 any news on this mod? cant whait any longer I wonder when this is going be out too. I'm hoping for the model with a bracelet which I'm willing to wait for. Glad I did not go for the Cousteou...
uziuzi Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 it's been quiet for the past few days... I suppose they are trying to get the bracelet and rep it as well...
yellomen Posted July 11, 2007 Report Posted July 11, 2007 estimated delivery time in HK is around 2 months... price in EU is too high due to taxes... so no bracelet yet i think. If someone has an idea about how to obtain a bracelet or if anyone has one and wants to lent it to Angus, do mail him about that!! Waiting is hard....
Dani Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 i cant see why they cant make the rubber and put that out first?
