The new RWG's first Poll - Are Polls a waste of time?

Ok had to get in the first (useless and pointless) one.

For those that don't know what "Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee........" is, ask a Greek Cypriot... and that's the answer you'll get.

Maybe polls should only be initiated by moderators so we can forget all the future "Should Nais be allowed to speak" polls that get bumped 2 years later.

Most polls don't give you a convincing yes or no answer. It always seems to be within a point or two one way or the other so I call it a waste and give it a big thumbs

Waste of time!, but I like seeing what people think is worth a poll. Isn't surfer a forum wasting time? I find great enjoyment wasting my time here.

I dont dislike the polls as much as I dislike the fact that the poll threads keep getting bumped everytime a vote is cast, regardless of whether the voter actually posts a comment. Just annoying IMO.

I agree with watcher71 on that irritating software quirk.

The only poll I ever found useful was on the reliability of the Asian 7750 movement.

That one was quite informative to me.

Polls are worthwhile only if they are intelligently thought out.

That translates to about 95% being entirely worthless, and annoying.

Me thinks its best to let the Admin handle poll postings.

Lets keep the litter off this forum.

Maybe we should have a Poll on wether we should lock Polls after say 1 month?

Mind you now the members would be the ones to decide, the mod's will just act on the will of the people
