DemonSlayer
A very sporty watch with class at the same time. Too much happening on the dial though for my liking, but having said that, I've now got my eye on the Patek Phillipe Moon Sky Tourbillion after Victoria's review
azerbyjam
I'd really like the standard automatic of this watch. Not sure what the 'pearl' is like compared to the gen - stuck on, painted on?
Pix
Some kind of "smart sub". I am not a sub fan, but would not be against this one on my wrist. I am interested in any coming pics from the flesh. Also, in this very case, I'd like to know how it's against the gen. Except the Timewalker, there are no good reps of Montblanc, which I regret. swdivad
I think it's a beautiful watch... reminds me alot of the style of the zenith rainbow flyback... I like how they've implemented the cyclops in panerai style, under the crystal... so much smarter than the protruding appendage cyclops of the submariner and its clones I bet it would look great on a strap too. coolfire
Here's a link to some reference pics: Genuine Montblanc Sports Chrono Hope it's useful. To me, this watch looks spot-on (from what pics I've found). Except for the usual suspects... Like the colour of the rep lume (greener on the rep), the colour of the silver bezel markers (more sheen on the gen, but could be due to lighting conditions), the pearl flatness (flushed, albeit recessed on the gen) & the different datefonts. I'm not so sure about the ar coating though, whether it's double or single-sided. Of course, the above comments can be construed as nit-picking... Overall, I think it's a good buy and I'm seriously considering getting one... Oh & doesn't one always wonder why they make the less popular watches more accurately... Meanwhile, maybe Solosailor could help by posting some pics once his arrives? chrgod
I like it, it looks like an "big expensive watch", even though MB have less brand recognition than other manufactures. But there are too many 7750 chronos in my watch drawer at the moment, so I will pass it.
Pix
Oh & doesn't one always wonder why they make the less popular watches more accurately... Of course yes... One theory is that you can sell "unpopular" models only once, whereas you can sell a Rolex 4 times to those who look for the "ultimate" version... (I know, that's not a very friendly answer, but I'm quite convinced of that). On the other hand, I love MB watches, so I'm pretty glad they now have 2 excellent reps : the Timewalker and this one. I'd love a Star Chrono as well. Look at this beautiful Montblanc engraving. The same coments apply for my new Baume&Mercier Riviera XXL : spot on, from the first version. Mmm... Now, the everlasting question : black or white flavour ?

Unless of course, I'm wrong again...

Pix
I'm almost about to place an order for the black dial. I am just wondering if it really has AR (was also advertized on my B&M Riviera, and actualy doesn't) and also how's the bracelet... Any happy owner ? Pix
:-) On its way. I pray to get it within this week. It left on Sunday, so I hope to be able to post pics this week-end. But for the review you'll have to wait at least one more week. Anyway, once here I will answer any question of course.

Pix
Hi, so the thing arrived today... I thought it would be nice to make a quick update about how the Sports Chrono is, as my review might take some time to be finalized. I will add first pictures tonight. Well, the more I order reps, the more I'm surprised with the quality of what I get (of course, that's not a rule) : this Montblanc looks absolutely stunning from the finishing point of view. It wears quite small (so, big wrists think about what you're getting). But it is very thick. The AR is present, I was not amazed by its quality. My problem is that I have no comparison point. I have only one other rep with AR (Riviera XXL), and it's the white one. So this black dial is a kind of "my first one". It definitely does not look like K2222's AR for instance. Don't misunderstand me : it's nice and obviously emphasizes the dial, but the crystal does no disappear. (I hope to be able to compare soon, as I have decided to go for at least 2 AR soon.) The bezel is aligned ! (Allelujah !). And the lume is comparable with the quality of the SFSO's one : charges easily and quickly (daylight makes the job) and will glow strongly immediately. Out of four 7750 I own, this is the second one which has the date switching at 00:00 exactly. I don't know if there's a new 7750 or some improvements that were silently done. I'm mentionning this, as the 2 other I have need a long time to make the complete switch between 2 days. The engravings, especially on the side of the case make this MB look absolutely right. Otherwise, the first flaws I see are those mentionned by coolfire (I must say I would never have noticed them if he did not described them) : greenish lume, non recessed pearl. No idea about the datefont, I'm really not a specialist there. The bracelet is excellent too. It has pushpins (look like screws but are definitely pushpins). I keep the rest of my feelings for the review. After I cooled down.
coolfire
Wow, glad you finally got it! Lume sounds good from the way you described it... But what a waste that it really is too green... And that the pearl isn't flushed... but of course, only us nit-picking obsessed people will notice these...! Glad that the overall quality of this watch is great, especially the bracelet... Can't wait for your Pix...
Pix
Well, relume could be a solution for the most demanding. And the pearl could also probably be fixed. I won't from my side, as it is a great watch out of the box. Bracelet was resized in a minute, a real pleasure. I have been such a victim of lame bracelets in some reps that I really feel happy everytime I don't scratch or break something while resizing a rep bracelet. BTW the bezel is tight too, no issue from this point of view. The crown is a screw-down type.
