Beautiful GMT you have there. I also prefer the refreshed look of a freshly serviced watch.

I was looking at those. I have one of the rep rivet bracelets but I don't like the end links on it.

It's the gen copy.. the blue lume will not glow like SL .... The Zigmeister can improve it. but Blue lume is not as strong as C3 .. as I have the re-lumed blue on my BR94-02
The blue glows for a short while and then fades out.

Is this not supposed to have lume at 3,6, and 9? I thought mine was defective and was fixin' to put some lume on them...
Mine has lume ant 3,6 and 9. It glows blue.

I have the cheapest version, originally fitted with a DG2813. I replaced this with a DG4813 and removed the date mechanism.
It is a stunning watch and I have regulated it to within +1 second/24 hours.
The case and bracelet are very well made and the dial lume is pretty good.
I am considering buying one with either an Asian 3135 or a Swiss 2824 as they are much better movements than the DG series.
Cheers,
Ian

Stumbled upon this. Hmmmm
Could be awesome!
http://www.puretimew...?productID=2148
I don't want to DDOS their site by hot-linking pics but here are the specs.
Size: 39.5mm x 17.8mm (incl. crystal)
Movement: Swiss ETA-2846 automatic movement at 21600vph (low beat movement which is similar to the genuine which is 19800vph)
Functions: hours, minutes, seconds and date display
Case: 316L steel case with thick springbar
Crystal: super-dome plexi crystal (made with a gen as sample)
Dial: we make many dial options as vintage Rolex fans all know there are many dials for this watch, we made about 4-5 dials
Bezel: freely rotating bezel with black insert and dome plastic pearl
Strap: steel bracelet with correct markings
Clasp: flip-lock deployant buckle
Water resistance: >50 Meters
Remark: PureTime has spent few months working with the best vintage replica maker on this watch, we admit it is not 100% same as genuine but it is the best out-of-the-box version in the market.
Unfortunately, they don't have any on stock!

The watch used as the initial test bed for the powdered graphite treatment was returned to me tonight. Oddly, not due to any mechanical problems, but, instead, because its owner simply tired of it. Not only is this infamously unreliable Asian Rube Goldberg chronograph still keeping good time 2 years hence, but, more importantly, its previously wandering hour totalizer seems to have corrected itself. Or, at least, it has not wandered from its (12 o'clock) null mark in the 5-6 hours the watch has been residing on my wrist
So, it seems that what I initially thought might be a very temporary band-aid for ailing secs @ 6 Daytonas has turned out to be a practical & long-term remedy.
It's very nice to know that this mod does work!

Happy New Year everybody!
I'm looking for a really good 5513 base for modification.
What are your opinions on the one on the EuroTimez website please?

I can't post a link, sorry.
Is there anything better than this one, apart from a gen?
TIA Ian

The Incabloc shock protector!

Just received mine today too. Mine's got the Asian 21J movement with a very noisy rotor. I'll sort that out later on this evening!

I'm thinking about buying one of these too. I'm looking forward to hearing from owners of these.

My blue Aquaracer should come this week

Hmmm,
Good point. I currently wear a SMP chrono rep which is superb and, to be honest, is a grail watch.
I have owned several Rolex Sub reps and sold them on as they have not really satisfied my lust for a real Sub. What I mean is, they've never really felt like the real deal. There's always been that niggling feeling that something is not quite right about them and they always look OK on other people but not in the flesh. It's very hard to explain.
I know that my SMP chrono is a fake but I don't care. when i wear a Rolex fake it really does matter to me but I don't know why. Perhaps it's because I read too much on this forum? Or it's because I have owned real Rolexes in the past. I even had a 14060 no date Sub for a short while and hated it because it didn't have a date function.
Maybe I want too much?
Perhaps I will only be satisfied with the real thing?
Other people's wrist shots make them look great. When I see them in the flesh, they look crap. Perhaps I'm cracking up.

Hi All,
I want to buy a Submariner and I don't mind whether it's vintage or modern.
Which model is the most accurate from Eurotimez?
I like the DRSD and the TT black dial Sub.
What do you think???
Cheers,
Ian

This car is about the coolest design I have seen. It is either all electric or a hybrid that gets 300 MPG. Cost is 29,500, and they are taking orders with a 500. deposit. It goes from 0-60 in 10 seconds and tops out at 90 MPH.

Thanks for all of your comments.
I'm still not sure whether to keep this one or to flip it yet though.
I've got a 1680 on the way and so I'm keen to see how they both compair.

A very reliable workhorse of a movement.
-
I agree!
-
Great post. Nicely done lume job.
-
I've reported it too.
-
The papers look like the old style ones to me too.
-
Count me in too please

It's not bad. Does it have a HE valve? I've seen many low priced DRSD vintages which miss that crucial detail...
Yes it does.It is held in by a spring clip.
