  1. Be sure i've done my homework. I've got many "franken" reps, there are scratches on them which you'll never find in other reps or gens. I call them Frankenstein watches...
  2. ...i don't like men's watches on women's wrists...but that's no problem as i remove them first. Second are the shoes except if they are high heels...

    Online shop

yes i google it some time ago for a friend... There are a couple easy solutions for it. The easiest i found and suggested to my friend is that you can find an instant eShop provider out in the internet who will give you the webspace and menu driven online or offline tools to create easily your own eshop. Some of them provide also a solution which combines some online payment option for your buyers but i found it easier to link Paypal credit card payments to your own eshop site...Fast secure and easy. So, try for "get your own online shop" or "get your own e-shop" in google...
  4. Whom did u get the 183 from? may i ask...? Wear 'em well!
  5. ok, as i still see many references to this great By-Tor's guide which contains some of the pictures i done in the past i feel to add some information to make life easier... first things first... 1) IF you managed* and took the bezel out of the watch, next thing is to remove the insert from the bezel...easy thing i guess even for the newest versions of SMP rep. 2) IF you are done with step 1) then don't hurry-up to glue the insert on the bezel while the bezel is still off. Just put the bezel back on the watch and after that glue the insert on it. 3) IF you didn't manage to remove the bezel in the first place (which i hear is a common issue with the latest SMP reps) you can try the plan B: Plan B: 1) Find a very thin fine jewellers' screwdriver or a thin pin/needle and try to insert it between the insert and crystal (at the point where the insert meets the crystal). IF you manage to insert a very thin thingy in there start moving it along the crystal-insert perimeter while it's still in...Eventually the glue of the insert will be separated from the bezel... At this point clear the old glue residues from the insert and bezel, put some new glue there, align it with the bezel and install it. 2) IF step 1 of Plan B still doesn't work AND the "hairdryer" trick doesn't seem to fight the glue you can try the acetone trick. You take an ear cleaning cotton* stick, you bath it in acetone and you rotate it all the way around the perimeter of the crystal at the point it meets the insert. The objective doing this is to let small quantities of acetone to slide in the insert's underneath area. Once acetone goes in there, kiss the glue goodbye... Acetone evaporates very fast, won't harm the insert's color (don't overdo it though, you have no reason to apply acetone on the insert itself) and if your crystal sits nice on the watch, it will never enter in it so no worries for the mechanical parts... Again you need a very fine thin jewellers screwdriver or a needle to push the insert out once the glue surrenders... Hope this helps, can't verify the process on the newest SMPs though. I don't have one.
  6. I use this for brushed or/and polished SS: Didn't harm my sub's brushed finish so far...it only made it look well refined, better than before.
  7. With my respect to an old member like you, but this is not genuine nor a franken watch. Does not contain any genuine parts to be called franken... Sorry my comment but i love genuine watches as well as reps...Let's don't mix them... Wear it well!
  8. see this gen and compare with your rep. It's obvious if you check real closely
  9. Yes you are. P.S. ...but where your watchsmith is supposed to find any parts may be needed for the service of that Asian mov.? My thought...
  10. hmmmm! Decision made: no rep chrono watch for me...
  11. I must admit that i saw so well defined dial markers only on the genuine article. Awesome job The Zigmeister! Still can't figure out how you managed not to spill the lume outside since the markers do not have any metallic perimeter (like rolexes do). (i don't need an answer on this - let me wondering ).
  12. -That one will not open R0lex casebacks. -It will open 0megas, though not the original tool. -don't know about the other brands you mentioned...i didn't check the kind of their casebacks... -can open the watch if you hold it in your palm (at least i manage to do it), but a case holder would be the "right" way to do it according to the specialists... - I have no idea about the torque. I just screw the casebacks as far as they can go, thinking that that's enough... ...anyway there is no "torgue" meter on those tools so how would you measure the torque needed even if you knew the limits? hope this helps...
  13. LOL, really? Forget my idea then ... It should work well in the genuine market, not well at all in the rep i guess Tnx for sharing your information R11!
  14. I would recommend everyone to AVOID buying from that ebay seller. The fact that you bought from him and they send that insert (which is very different from what i got months ago) proves that their source is totally inconsistent about what they provide to them. The seller also has a very bad communication and attitude when issues arise. For example they advertise their inserts to be like genuine and they state that the buyer would not tell the difference from the gen...Totally rubbish. They also use the same picture on all of their inserts auctions. You never receive what you see!
  15. ...i bought months ago an aftermarket insert from ebay (the seller was called like "raymondleejewellers" if i remember well)... That insert's color and pearl were far better than the rep insert and closer to the gen both in color and pearl , BUT , the pearl was Off-Center and it showed off very well... I contacted the ebay seller to ask if there could be something done about it but i was speaking to the wall probably.. The aftermarket insert kissed me goodbye one day that i was riding my motorcycle so i installed again the rep one...
  16. ...agree... this insert doesn't look genuine... the pearl could succeed as a R0lex pearl though... (jk)
  17. This one's case would be correct for the 2531.80 rep (i hope you speak about the same watch)... (image taken from dealer's site JUST for reference!) I've thought myself to purchase one, take off the case (w/crystal) and crown, and put my 2531.80's in there... Didn't do it so far... EDIT: Note that my SMP 2531.80 and the rep pictured are both using ETA 2824 (or claimed so... )
  18. I wouldn't buy a replica -aka fake- watch with chronos as my first attempt into this bussiness (i haven't bought one until today as well). Too risky which may or may not cause lots of drama.
  19. damned google, if i enter 'ronson lighters' as the keyword gives me ronsoncorp.com as the first result. If i enter just the word 'ronson' gives me ronson.co.uk and ronson.com as the first result which must be the official websites of the company... Seems that the Ronson factory still runs and is still located in U.K. Maybe relocated though...
  20. As far as i know the Ronson lighters factory was located in U.K. and was shut down in the 80's. What happened after? Who is running Ronson factory nowdays?
  21. Edge, respecting your request and concerns and since i voted "other" i do this post. Take it as a bump because i really don't feel to suggest anything here. The purpose of this board is/was exactly that: protecting and informing the members. :bye
  22. should i take this as an irony to my question?
